I wasn’t sure of these would actually work any better than a knife or soon but wooooooo!! Talk about speedy Gonzalez!! Once you get the hang of it and find the perfect hand positioning I was speeding along!! These definitely helped to cut down on time- definitely recommend.

This tool is like what masons use in smoothing wet concrete but you are smoothing your Masa Harina on the corn husks. Yes, you can use other tools like the back of a spoon but when you want an even spread and less effort this turns your kitchen into a Tamale factory . We make 15- 30 Tamales for our Family parties. It is well made and does not deform or collapse. I hand wash . I wouldn’t put in a hot dishwasher but maybe you can. I’m buying a second one for helping hands.

Good product, you definitely have to get used to it. But it does its purpose. Wish it was slightly different but overall good
