Discovered that I had not cleaned my Renai hot water heater in several years since owning my new home. Found this pump and it came with online easy to understand and explain how to use video. Worked great highly recommend!

It had me a little worried at first, it runs a few minutes and then it shuts down a little. Thought something was wrong at first, but that is the way it is supposed to do.

Like many others, our contractor never told us about regular de-scaling of the tankless heater, so when the water turned cold in the middle of wifey's bath, her screams sent me troubleshooting. Of all the possible causes I found, this seemed a good (and the least expensive) place to start. It was easy to set up and use, but after running it for an hour there was little visible debris in the bucket. However, the water was quite cloudy so maybe there was a lot more stuff that came out in a dissolved state. Anyway, since running the process one week ago the hot-to-cold water problem is yet to recur. If it does I will update this review accordingly, but so far, so good.

This product paid for itself in first cleaning which I used to clean my hot water on demand. Was very easy to use as long as your unit has all the right valves (most newer installs have the right valves.) Will use product once year to clean/flush out unit as recommended. Highly recommend this product

Prepped my water heater, cleaned vents, and when I was ready to start pump, nothing happened. I checked it, unplugged many times and plugged back in with nothing. Had to scramble to find one in town and the only one available was at Harbor Freight, got it plugged it in and started right up. Maybe choose another brand.

I bought this to descale my tankless water heater. I found it pretty intuitive to use and it worked fine for the hour that I ran it through my water heater. I just used white vinegar with it, pretty simple. Much better value than paying someone to come do it.
