The Disinfection Light is designed to stand between your keyboard and monitor on the desktop to automatically disinfect the surfaces of keyboards, mice, and other items within the disinfection range. The disinfection cycle emits a purple ambient light when it starts, indicating to you the UV-C LED light is in use. For each cleaning cycle, the AC-powered light turns on and runs for 5 minutes once an hour. Regular use can be effective at eliminating harmful pathogenic microorganisms on all your device surfaces and complements your cleaning routine. The light comes with a built-in auto shut-off safety feature that utilizes motion sensors: should any motion be detected within the safety zone of 18” outside the disinfection area, or if the device senses any activity within the safety zone itself, the UV-C LED will be automatically disabled. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the light will resume its disinfection cycle. UV-C LED light will cover an estimated 10” deep x 26” wide area on your desk or workstation. Includes an AC-wall power adapter for quick and easy setup. Manual cleaning can be initiated with the press of a button, allowing for 15 seconds for you to leave the active area.

This product is just what I needed to disinfect items that are otherwise hard to get all the germs off of. It is good quality and is easy to use once you can locate the tiny standby mode button on the top right side of the light. There are actually two small buttons you need to push to get the UV light to power on, with the other one being on the other top portion of the light which powers on the disinfection light after 15 seconds. I wish the standby mode button was bigger since it is tiny and you almost need to use your fingernail to switch it on. I had to read the directions to figure out how to get it to turn on. I initially tried just using the USB plug to power it on by connecting it to a USB charge port on a power strip I have. I would suggest not doing that since it messed it up and I had to try several more times powering it on using the a/c power adapter with the USB plug connected to it. I would also suggest leaving it plugged in since it seems to be a bit finicky if constantly disconnecting the plug. There is a slight humming noise when the UV light is on which you can only hear if close to the unit. There is a motion detection feature that turns the UV light off if any movement in front of the light is detected which is a bit annoying since the light then stays off for 5 minutes before powering back on. The unit is lightweight and has a padded bottom on the base to keep it from sliding around. I have already used it to disifect my keys, a razor knife, cell phone and reading glasses. Each disinfection takes only 5 minutes and then the UV light powers off but the unit remains in standby mode for any other items you want to disinfect. The power cable is a few feet in length. The top of the unit's base has a rubber pad area and a upturned lip on the bottom to hold your item being cleaned, but I wish there was a bit more to the lip since it is not very high so items can easily slide down over it. The current price of $200 for this device seems a bit high but I have not compared it to any other similar products on the market for price and features. This is a great product to have for eliminating germs on items that might be handled by multiple individuals or for items that get touched or handled a lot, especially in a household with children that seem to attract germs!

This is great for people who share a keyboard or desk space with others and for those just wanting to be able to keep their own space clean and sanitized! Once I set it up, I haven’t had to mess with anything since! It automatically detects when you’re there and when you’re gone! Definite win for me and my house! 9.8/10

Nice quality, focused lighting:Having owned several different types of UV sanitizing lights, I was curious to see why this model was going for ~$200 when some other models go for much less than that. The reason became apparent soon after opening the box. The first thing I noticed was the quality look and feel to the product - the light is pretty sleek and blends in nicely with other office accessories I have. It's also not so large where it really does stand out when not in use. The materials used felt nice and solid in my hands and just gave off "quality" vibes. The second thing I noticed was that the UV lamp used, when turned on, a very strong but very focused beam of light - the area that gets covered directly below the light instantly turns a bright purple, whereas some other competitive product require a warmup period that can last several minutes before getting to that brightness level. The beam was also focused downwards so it won't really affect anything else in the room (pictures, wallpaper, etc) that could potentially get damaged by UV light over time.Good safety features:What really impressed me was how well the safety features worked. Other models I've used have a built in timer as a safety feature, so once you power them on you have ~10 seconds or so to leave the room before the harmful light turns on, whereas this model has a pair of small motion sensors that turn off the instant they sense something moving, so you can come back into the room if you've forgotten something and not worry about being blinded or harmed by the UV.Overall, this is a great product and I would recommend.

This UV anti-bacterial light could be way more versitile if you could directionally position the light (comes affixed in one position). It seems designed for one purpose and one purpose alone to disinfect a keyboard, when it could be way more versatile like in a kitchen if it were adjustable, the light could be better angled to disinfect say a cutting board surface in a kitchen, which is whaat I'm using it for. I am only able to do this since I have another higher elevation counter bar surface at the back side of my kitchen countertop allows me to position it onto my cutting board. This disinfection light does have some cool features like a motion sensor and only operates when you're out of the room.

I’m relieved to know that my keyboard can be automatically sterilized with this Targus UV-C LED Disinfection Light. This is very quiet, I only hear a faint noise when it first starts sanitizing, and then it is silent for the remainder. I do wish that the light arm was adjustable so it could be placed differently depending on its usage, but it is perfect for my large ergonomic keyboard and the light does seem to fully cover it. Unfortunately, this does not seem to have a wide enough area to cover my keyboard plus mouse and mousepad all at the same time. Overall I would recommend, it’s definitely worth peace of mind knowing that my keyboard will be automatically sanitized anytime I’m away and ready for use whenever I return.

I like the fact that this automatically turns on when there is no movement detected for a short period. You can also turn it on manually. It will also turn off of this method if it senses movement so it does not expose you to the UV. It's built well and works great. The only part I did not like is that where you set devices isn't the best. The lip is a little too small and some devices will not sit the properly.
