I bought this at the end of June and I had no idea then how to tell if a UVC sanitizing wand is or is not truly sanitizing. I just recently bought a set of two UVC test cards (you can buy them on Amazon). Waving the wand over the test card will tell you if your wand is actually UVC or not. This one is. I just bought another unit elsewhere which was more compact to carry in my purse, I liked all the features; but when I tested it with the card, no UVC was present. I will return that one.I have since learned that to tell if your wand is working for you, is to start by looking for the golden vs the white LED squares...the golden squares are UVC, the white squares are UVA. Both can be present and still work, but there should be at least equal amounts of both, if not all UVC.. In other words, pick up some test cards and know for sure what you’re getting. This unit has UVC you can rely on.It has a safety switch so little hands cannot turn it on unwittingly. It has a slip-on cloth case and a charging cord. I prefer a rechargeable UVC wand vs a battery-operated one. All in all, it is peace of mind to have the info you need to make a good purchase. I keep this in my husband’s glove compartment, and when we stop for a bite to eat after our errands, I bring it into the diner or restaurant. I wand down the forks and spoons and knives as well as the rims of drinking glasses or a wine goblet (where you don’t have the use of straws).

I have been working from home since March.Most of us just took home our work computers (all the firewalls making use of our personal laptops arduous) as we all expected a long wait to return to the office, but no one imagined these many months.In the interim, IT installed new computers in our empty office, but in my unit only one of the computers could be effectively installed - in my office. The other units require new wiring (an electrician). So when co-workers are visiting the office, they are using my computer. We are talking at least six people, and I don't always know when.Now, when I arrive at the office (which is rare and only for only short intervals) I disinfect with a spray the tops of my desk and keyboard, and wipe them down other hard surfaces in the room. However, for extra security, I also use my sterilizer wand.Don't wish to be indelicate, but I also wave the wand over surfaces in public restrooms.The light it emits is VERY bright, so be very careful to avert your eyes. I find that my sunglasses are effective in dulling the light somewhat, but still I avert my eyes.Stay well all!

Received the iv sterilizer in a box x that had clearly been opened many times. Inside item was wrapped in clear tape that had hair stuck to it in multiple places. DisgustingReturned
