This thermometer stopped working today, 1 month and 23 days after purchasing. We have used it about a dozen times. It has only been hand washed. The unit is not sealed against liquid AT ALL. The screws were rusty, and when I opened it up, there is corrosion all over the PCB. I am actually a bit offended that they put solastic sealant on their proprietary chip, but didn't conformal coat the PCB to keep the water off. Overall, the quality is extremely poor and because it broke so quickly, I can't recommend it for any purpose. The corrosion could be cleaned off and it could work again, but I'm not doing that every 2 months.

Unit quit working about two months after purchasing it. Also, i didn’t care for the fact that you have to turn it on and off after each use. Prefer the models that shut off after a few moments of non use.

It only reads centigrade-if push the centigrade/Fahrenheit button the display reads Fahrenheit momentarily then reverts back to centigrade.

There is absolutely zero possible ways to calibrate this thermometer. The manufacturer states that they require no calibration, yet I'm sitting here with it in a densly packed cup of ice water and the thing is reading 33.8°. IT NEEDS CALIBRATION!!!
