I have 2 outside outlets, and both had covers that had glazed over, cracked, and the holding pieces have broken. I purchased these and I really like that they have a small profile in the normal mode, but if you have to plug something in for the summer or the winter, you can expand the cover and it keeps it water tight. Only question is how long these will last, but the hard plastic ones did not last forever, so hoping for 10-15 years. Let's see. But happy with the purchase!

They are great looking outdoor single hang outlet, but I was hoping to find the expanded size so that I can fold all the unused cables from the wall power adapter and I couldn't find it, took the chance but it does not meet my needs but it looks really sleek cool outdoor waterproof outlet

Great quality and easy to install. I installed this on a RV outside dual plug. I did apply some silicone around the edge against the RV to assure a more water resistant scenario. It does seem very water resistant, but with a foam type gasket in the Arizona heat, I wanted to insure the gasket would be more water tight and last much longer by applying a small bead around the edge of the plug cover. Be very careful not to get silicone on the cover itself, just the back base against the RV outside wall. If you do apply silicone, open the cover door to check that any silicone has not been applied to the door and if it has been applied to the door, clean if off outer door immediately to make sure the cover door opens without silicone holding it shut. It will work without silicone just fine, but I see all seals on the outside of Arizona RV take a beating due to the incredible heat we have in the summers. In the past when I washed the RV, this plug would short out until it dried. I washed the RV after install and now the plug does not short out. It was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend

I had an issue in my utility room with my water heater leaking onto an electrical outlet causing my breaker to trip. I got this item and installed it and it is amazing. No water getting into outlet now for sure

Update: These are small and can only fit the 110V outlets. They will not fit the 220V outlets. These did not correspond to the size 6.1" that was stated as product dimension. It is very small. Please measure length and width of your outlets and decide the depth that you will want your covers to be before purchase. I bought this to cover 220V outlet which measured 6" × 3" but it did not fit. It is instead perfect for 110V outlets which is much smaller. I cannot speak to weatherproof, safety, value for money, ease in removal nor installation at this time because it has not yet been installed.

I very much like this weather proof cover. It can be easily opened to access a switch or receptacle. It offers the best protection from rain, by extending and allowing the plug to be shielded in all directions, while in use. No other cover I’ve bought previously, has offered this degree of protection.There are 3, solid plastic adapter plates, which allows you to fit over square and rounded receptacles, as well as a narrow switch. A great feature. My only bugbear is that I wish it would fit inside a recessed split mounting block, but alas, it wouldn’t go, so it gets a point knocked off for that, but otherwise is a very well made and ergonomically designed product.

Great durable product for use during poor weather. The system allows a plugged in cord without exposing the outlet to the weather.
