I ordered 3 of these items in clear to replace all my outdoor outlets. I had to purchase these since a GFCI outlet in the garage kept tripping when it rained really hard. I took my electric current tester with the GFCI tripped and found the outdoor outlets were all on the same circuit as the GFCI outlet. My refrigerator is hooked up to the one in the garage since it's in the location we want it but couldn't have an outlet providing no power after it rains really hard. I knew what I had to do and that was to get onto Amazon, order 3 of these things and 3 tamper resistant outlets. I just got finished installing them today and took about 1 - 2 hours. Electricians will charge about $150 for 2 hours... I switched the breaker off for this circuit and replaced them all for $40 bucks with the newer TR outlets and this weather resistant cover.# Pros- Well made, thick; not cheap plastic. Thick plastic pin is well made and I think this will hold up for a long time.- Easy to install, comes with all the necessary adapters for different types of outlets. In my case I just ordered the decorator style outlets so I didn't have to remove the adapter. Preinstalled with the decorator adapter. Those outlets are much heavy duty than the standard 2 circular ones.- Tabs on right and bottom side that can be clipped on or off for wires. This will be great for the winter when I put up lights.- Won't rust since it's plastic. Usually metal pins will rust after a while and start appearing on the siding / trim.# Cons- No gasket seal to help keep moisture out from the transparent cover and the cabinet. If it rains hard and it fails, I might have to tweak it and add a gasket. It does have a gasket in the back to make a seal to the box though.- Didn't include enough screws for using the 4 corner mount where it's recessed for drilling.# ConclusionI really like this product and happy that I ordered it. I almost ordered the older model until a review mentioned this newer model and how it's much better quality. They are about the same price so I had to get the newer model. I've uploaded a photo of it open since the product listing doesn't help much and they say a picture is worth a thousand words. As always, I will update this review as I'm more experienced with this product.

I have wanted a outdoor plug-in for 24 years and finally got it this year, and bought this cover, it is PERFECT for it!!! Well Made, Great Price, Fast Delivery who could ask for anything more?

Its simply a weatherproof box for covering outlets or other utility connections outdoors. I used it to run speaker cable from my receiver to outdoor speakers under the patio. Instead of drilling holes in the walls, I wired the cable through unused telephone jacks that were outside. Ran cable through the opening and used this as a weatherproof cover for the cable connections. I'm in Southern California so we don't get really any bad weather so I wouldn't say it protects from all weather conditions. But the box is light, easy to install and cover the electronic connections as I hoped it would. I would highly recommend.

Took a chance on ordering this in white as every other white exterior outlet cover I have purchased eventually yellows from UV deterioration. This company makes reliable and long lasting outlet covers in clear and grey, so hoping for the best. This item will fit a wide variety of switches and outlets with included bezels/adapters so no need for buying other accessories

I needed this cover to protect an outlet that used a heavy duty cord. The plug end was longer than most but it fit inside this cover perfectly. The common size was too shallow but this deep version was exactly what I needed. Highly recommend for heavy duty plugs.

Used this to do a security camera installation. Fits 2 adapters with no issues and has room to neatly store excess cables. Comes with the gasket and other hardware. No complaints or issues with this item.

Seems to be an ok cover but it won’t latch closed very well. I’ve had others that have a solid latch but not this one. Maybe this one was just a defective one out of a lot. If the lat worked I would of given it 5 stars.

It fits the Hubbell Nema 1450 industrial grade HBL9450.I wanted to make the receptacle a minimum weather and temper resistant considering that the nema prong openings are pretty large.You have to install a plate to fix the nema receptacle.The black plastic plate of the cover has different cutouts patterns to chose from for different outlets but it was really a pain to cut to the size of the Hubbell outlet despite having the precut line. I guess it is a good thing that the plastic plate is strong and solid.
