I have a Morkie and I buy the 2.5lb bags of Royal Canin Yorkie and Maltese formulas! I wanted a simple solution to be able to mix the two bags together and easily pour the food into his dish without having to use the bags that don’t get sealed properly half the time!This product fit the bill for what I was looking for! I will say I’m not sure of the truth to these 2.5lb bags, one batch of 5lbs fit fine with room to shake! The second batch…I couldn’t fit all of both bags and it was a tight shake! I mixed the rest in one of the original bags and just saved it to refill this after it had some room!I think the latches on this canister are kind of flimsy and I’m not sure how much opening and closing they’ll hold up to over time (I’ve only refilled it twice). I do like that the lid (which is also a measuring cup of sorts) has a seal around it and its own little locking mechanism which I didn’t realize at first! I was trying to just push the cap back on and realized it twists and locks! So I think the seals are nice, it pours great, holds about the 5lbs and I generally love it! I took away 1 star just because of the latches for the top feeling like they might not hold up long term.

I purchased this for my camper and to put Dog food in it when we travel, it was perfect and will fit nicely and is very light weight for travel. Love it !

This is a great food container, if your cat is lazy. Mine however, is not, and learned if he knocks the food container over, the lid will pop off and spill food everywhere for him. Will have to store where he can’t knock it over.
