Looks beautiful, is lightweight, easy to rinse out, and holds a lot of water so I can make at least 4 pour over cups of coffee. I’ve only had it for a few weeks. If anything changes, I’ll update my review. Caveat, because it is lightweight, it may not hold the heat for long periods of time but my goal was to have a kettle that looks beautiful, holds a lot of water, heats up fast, and isn’t too heavy for pouring. If you are looking for heat retention, you would need to go with a heavier one. Overall, I’m quite happy with this kettle!

This tea kettle boils water, as it should, and at first, I thought it was not a good selection when I realized that the heavy kettle of water would have to be lifted at the very top center where the wood handle is rather than from the side of the kettle which gives better leverage for lifting a heavy hot kettle of water. But after trying it, I found it not so hard to lift from the top center and noted that the side metal supports for the handle do not get hot so that I can touch there to give support the pouring, And it is very attractive on the stove.

Love the tea pot. Lid fits tight for no dripping or steam It’s very eye appealing. I have an electric / glass top range and no issues. When done I do tilt lid and empty out the water to let inside air dry.

The inside of the lid started to rust/oxidize and the bottom (inside) developed spots after it was too late to return it to Amazon.

I’ve had this kettle for only about a month and it’s already rusting. It also scratches very easily. The handle is plastic and does not stay upright, causing it to get melted from the flame during heating.

UPDATE: I purchased this teapot in August and didn't use it regularly until the holidays. Before the holidays I always emptied the water as stated in the directions because I didn't know when I'd use it again. During the two weeks between Christmas and New Year, I left the water in the pot because we used it frequently. That's all it took for it to start rusting inside! Now I know why this teapot is much less expensive than my old classic teapot from England. It rusts! Take the instructions seriously, you MUST empty the water and let the teapot dry after every use.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is such a beautiful teapot! I love the gradual blue coloring. It looks spectacular on my stove. Who would think a teapot could become a focal point?! Luckily it's not just a pretty teapot, but a very functional one too. It works just as hard and as well as my old tried and true classic teapot from England that finally kicked the bucket.
