This unit really works! And, Yes!! It gets hot! The entire unit gets hot!! The handles remain “touchable†BUT DO NOT MOVE THIS UNIT UNTIL IT’S COMPLETELY COOLED!!! And it takes a long while to completely cool down. I didn’t have any trouble heating a medium large pot to a roiling boil, just know it’ll take longer than a conventional range top to reach boiling. It’s a “hot plate,†not a two burner conventional range top. I found the temperature settings easy to navigate.It stores easily on any shelf. Light weight but not cheaply flimsy. A great addition to any kitchen, whether indoors or out. I’m using it in a small kitchenette studio apartment. Product description is accurate.

I looked through a lot of stoves before getting this one . I’m not disappointed at all . It looks exactly like the picture. It heats up pretty fast and temp is fine control buttons work well .. I haven’t experienced too much smoke .For durability is fine BUT KEEP IN MINDIf you don’t clean it right away don’t wait until the next day it doesn’t bother me to much but I can’t get some of the things that fell on it while it was hot off . It’s fine I guess but do keep in mind if you want it to stay looking new clean it right away! Other than that we love it . Will continue to use to see how long this lasts . Love the color tho. Can’t go wrong with this one

Thought I would give an honest review, no compensation or anything. 1.5 qt pot, 2 eggs from the refrigerator and covered with cold water. Put pot in and turned unit on high. 4 minutes small bubbles appear, 5 minutes steam appears 8 minutes audible bubbles and small boil, 10 minutes large rolling boil. Had to reduce temp due to some splash over. 20 minutes eggs hard boiled. Handles stayed cool. Unit base got very hot. Don’t touch. Overall comparable to a stovetop. Works good.

The store light would only turn on when it’s above the “min†heat, but at “min†heat it’s already pretty hot. There’s a sticker on the top stated the stove is hot but is not a live warning. You don’t know until you put your hand over the stove. If you have little children, I don’t recommend this for you. The wire is short, so I need an extension even for the power outlet under the dinner table. It takes a while to cool it down.This is a good price, and the item works. The instruction for first time use is very good and it’s placed right on the stove top so no one can miss it.

It’s been a little over a month and we love this thing! Our downstairs tiny kitchen doesn’t have a stove so this was the perfect cheap option so I don’t have to constantly go upstairs to cook. The water boils s much faster than the last one we had and anything I’ve cooked in a frying pan has cooked perfect and evenly. It’s also super easy to clean! I love it!

I recently purchased the Techwood 1800W Portable Electric Stove with high hopes for a convenient and efficient cooking solution, but unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory.One of the major drawbacks is the inconsistent heating performance. I love my little appliance !I bought this a year ago and have been very satisfied. The heat stays in the cast iron elements for a long time which is good if you wish to turn every thing off and keep a dish simmering for a while. The elements are a good size too for bigger pots and are similar size ( guessing ) to a regular stove.Other hot plates I’ve looked at have smaller elements. The large element is able to support my largest soup pot easily.You do have to be patient as the cast iron takes a bit longer to heat right up but it retains the heat longer ( can switch off and still have cooking continue )They do get a little discoloured with time, but mine are still black : just a little bit worn looking,The on off switches work and there are indicator lights that come on for each element , the click sound ( on off ) is still good .The large element click-sound is now a bit faint and the directional diagram around the knob is wearing off ( no biggie ) but I make sure that I turn the dial all the way to the left and that the light goes off.Above all, I was super happy that this appliance fit into my plan to get rid of my bulky conventional stove and oven.The Teakwood appliance looks “sharp†on my stainless steel prep table and set-up was super easy.The cord is long enough ( yay ) and I have it going toward the wall and down the back of the stainless steel prep table into a “ multi plug stove power adapter†( also from Amazon ) that accommodates this appliance but also my air fryer /convection oven too.Side Handles : great for easy moving to clean underneath ( just lift on one end ).The four feet are well made and sturdy and easy to attach the fuzzy protectors on them if needed.Ease of use ease of use : very good . Value for money is very good tooHappiness factor excellent.

I am unable to test and rate the product since it is for 120v operation. In all other respects it appeared on paper to meet all my requirements and is beautifully styled and robustly constructed. Sorry if I have missed the information but I cannot see any voltage rating on your ad - only one reference to power consumption.

I had never used a hotplate before. At first I thought it didn't work as it takes a minute to heat up, but once it does, you would think you were cooking on a stove.

Purchased this cooktop about 6 months ago.Initially I was happy with it.However,overtime, it has started to disappoint. The cooktop taking longer and longer to heat up, which makes cooking more time consuming.And now one of the burners has completely stopped working.I expected better durability and performance.Really disappointed!
