Bought this because our dog opens the door by himself. And at night he opens the door to come in and it cools off our house very quickly, we don’t like to heat the outside! And I was nervous about this working from the back door to our bedroom probably about 500 feet or so away. And it works!!! So easy to install, instructions are well written and the sounds are loud and have different ones to pick from. 10/10 would recommend again!

Love the variety of chimes and the volume control. Easy installation. I have a child on the spectrum who likes to peak outside the door and this lets me know every time he opens the door.

Stopped working after about 3 weeks, no sound. Don't waste your money.

Works great, I own a salon and it’s a nice soft tone, not abrasive or too loud.

This works for what we need it for, there are too many sounds that aren’t usable. I wish there were more appropriate sounds for the home. It was easy to install. The sound box is loud enough but I’d like if it had a volume control.

I live in an apartment and just needed some extra reassurance when I’m out at work or away from home. The main unit plugs into your wall ac socket and allows you to choose between a set of alarm sounds and levels of volume. The loudest it can go is 120 decibels, which will make enough sound to reach to both ends of my floor and will alert my neighbor (I tried and can hear the alarm emanating from my home while in their apartment. The sensor and magnetic strip work in conjunction with the alarm unit. The sensor activated consistently when the magnetic strip passed its field. Consistently is integral for a system like this, and to its credit, it never missed once. Overall, I highly recommend this as a lightweight way to add a bit of security to your home without breaking the bank.

I wanted something for my job that would notify us of people coming in. Bells and other devices just didn't work so I got this. Wow, I was impressed. I love that it has volume control on top of the multiple choices for the ring tone. Installation was easy along with setting up the bell close by in an outlet. Best purchase ever.

Disclaimer - I received this product for free for testing. It's a nifty little doorbell and given the price, IMO worth every penny. I had no trouble with it at all after using it for about 2 weeks. Setting it up was very simple - it was pre-configured so only required removing a protective battery tab from the button unit to enable it (you also have to plug the main unit into a socket, of course). You can select from about 50 tunes and on maximum volume it is quite loud. Many of the tunes are too long to my taste but there are several simple ones like a classic "ding-dong". An option to go back in a list of tunes would be very useful (currently you have to scroll through ~50 to get back to the one you skipped). This doorbell can double as a night light - it's LED illumination can be set to permanent and is sufficiently bright for this purpose. What I quite liked is that clearly TeckNet listened to the customers - latest model sports a brief illumination of the button (when pressed), rubber insulation for the button unit (although I still doubt it can be fully exposed to the elements) and a few simple tunes have been added.I think it could also make a fun toy for a toddler!

Love that the ringer is self powered and wireless. No complication whatsoever in screwing to wooden door frame then just plugging the reciever into an available wall socket. I'd say my receiver is about 10m away on the upstairs landing, and I don't think its never not recieved a signal from the ringer, yet the signal also has to travel through a couple of brick walls and some wood. Don't think we've either also had any false positives of the reciever going off by itself from any sort of wireless interference etc.Built in night light is a nice effect, just not something we use in our household, but can see it being useful for plenty of other people in the night. Volume can go quite loud, and there's a range of doorbell ringtones to choose from, though we just keep it quite basic.I'm always a fan of Tecknet offerings, and am not disappointed. Reasonably cheap and worked everytime. No other doorbell compares.

Very good product. Exactly what i was after. I only wanted a simple tone, however the vast range of tones to choose from does add value for money. Very loud, i live in a mid-terrace and i have mine plugged in downstairs but i can easily hear it upstairs. I don't even have it on the highest setting. However for larger, and possibly nosier households i'd recommend the two-chime pack. Only loses a star because the supplied battery had corroded, so was inoperative and i had to go out and buy a new one.

This looks and feels really high quality and is supplied with a quality 3M adhesive pad. Cheaper than previous doorbells we've had from Argos etc it certainly has a better range (works through 4 closed doors 2 of which are double glazed) and doesn't need batteries which were £6 each on the last bell which lost its waterproof properties once the battery had been changed. There are dozens of chimes / tunes including Happy Birthday, Xmas and classical tunes and the option for it to light up which is good for hearing impaired people. It has a click mechanism which recharges the battery so there shouldn't be any ongoing costs. Time will tell if it is really waterproof as claimed.26/12/20 14 months in came across this review and thought I’d add it is still going strong and has proved to be waterproof, good adhesive, and self charging works a treat. The units are separated by two double glazed doors and 6m.

Great, does it what is says on the tin. No issues to report and the usual simple cardboard packing from technet which I always appreciate.Installation was a doddle (sticky pad which looks pretty strong or screws (all provided)). Selection of tunes is okay through the buttons on the side, however, you cycle through the tunes and there are a lot, so if you like one, I couldn't figure out how to skip back to the previous one. Also I couldn't find a proper doorbell sound, they're mostly tunes much like an old nokia ring tone...in fact...one of them IS the old nokia ring tone (yes I picked that one!)The speaker has a few volume options and loudest is handy, but can over power the internal speakerThere are options for the on-board light which is nice but doesn't give you great illumination. I presume that if you were hard of hearing that you'd need something more pronounced.Does the job for under a tenner, no complaints. The 'English' in the instructions provided however, is quite funny in places, but still readable.I reviewed this as part of a review scheme. Happy so far.
