I installed this in my 2018 Nissan Titan using the wiring adapter that came with the Titan. Easy to install and works as it should. As other users have noted, the brake emergency control slide only applies the amount of power that you have pre-set when applying brake pedal pressure, so it does the same thing as stepping on the brakes, where higher levels of brake controllers will apply full braking power when using the emergency control slide.

Bought this unit in order to be able to utilize the electric brakes on the 16 ‘ lightweight trailer purchased to haul a couple of early British sport vehicles.My GMC Arcadia had the trailer package but you need to add a control in order to be able to utilize all the features of same.This control allows that easily by way of a simple connector that you connect between the controller and the factory trailer package connector that’s part of the trailer package. Super convenient and so simple to do.The control mount easily out of the way and allows complete control over the application of trailer breaks.

After spending over 2 hours installing trailer brake controller, its defective out of the box. Error code says internal problem. Not impressed at allTrying to return it is even more frustrating. Have to pay for return postage and may get reimbursed.Be careful if you order from Canada Direct. Eventually had to call Amazon and still waiting
