About this item

  • Ends are offset 45 degrees to reach over and around obstructions
  • 12-point openings double the access angles of a 6-point, making it easier to work in tight spaces
  • Box end geometry is designed to grip flat sides of fastener heads, not corners, to prevent round-off
  • Made of premium chrome vanadium steel with a mirror chrome finish

Made to reach fasteners in difficult spaces, this wrench offers 12-point box ends that are generously offset 45 degrees to go over and around obstructions.

I needed an offset 1 1/4 box end wrench to remove the banjo bolt from an old Ford OBS 7.3 F-250.Some people use heat and bend a wrench, but no need to with this one. It fit properly and was able to fit just right under the turbo to remove the bolt.Seems sturdy enough, and while I won't get a whole lot of use out of it the price was right and it was what I needed, and a lot less expensive than taking it to a shop...

Purchased this wrench for a job I will be doing on a Volvo. I have lots of tools and brands but have not purchased Tekton before. This is a nice wrench for the price, it has a nice offset and is also a nice length. It should work nicely for the job and be an asset in my tool box when I need a metric wrench. So, don't be afraid to buy tools that aren't mac or snap on and give this brand a try. I have gear wrench which are nice tools as well at a great price and also some mac, snap on, craftsman and others. I would recommend this wrench if you need an offset 21 and 23 mm wrench!

I bought this a few years ago and have been using it since. I like to carry the least amount of tools with me to a job site, and I needed an offset 8mm/10mm box wrench. Most mfgrs. will sell wrenches that are8/9 mm and 10/11 mm. And of course, they will all offer to sell you a Whole Set instead of offering alacarte. I wanted ONE wrench, and this fit the bill.It is made of quality material. The size of the jaws are properly machined, and fit fasteners of each indicated size snugly without any slop or unnecessary slipping. The jaws have not shown any wear the whole time that I've been using them.Tekton is located in Grand Rapids, where a lot of their tools are manufactured. I believe this wrench is made in Taiwan, NOT the PRC! That was another selling point for me. Good tools, I would buy again.

Needed to change out the serpentine belt on my wife's car. I knew the nut for the tensioner was 14mm and I had one of those. What I did not know was the tensioner was behind a frame member, so a regular socket wrench could not get in there. Also, the nut is set into the pulley, so your typical minor offset wrench cannot reliably get iin there either. I order this one, with a deeper offset and the installation went smoothly. Sometime you just have to have the right tool to get the job done.

I needed a 10mm offset wench to loosen a distributor. An old Craftsman wouldn't go in because the ring is 8mm deep and the clearance over the bolt head was less. The ring on the Tekton is only 6mm deep. It went in easily. The Craftsman's high knee might also have caused trouble. You don't need an offset wrench if there's room above the fastener for a socket and ratchet. The low knee of the Tekton looks better to sneak in where a socket won't go.When I put the 19cm-long Tekton on the bolt, it had enough slop to swing the end 3cm. Because a 12-point wrench is designed not to press the corners, slop isn't necessarily bad. I did the math. On that radius, 3cm is about 9 degrees, while the corners of a hex bolt are 60 degrees apart. I used that wrench with confidence. The Texton had much less slop on other 10mm bolts. The distributor bolts look okay, but at some point a six-point wrench may have deformed them slightly. With an offset wrench, torque is applied above the plane of the fastener's rotation. This can flip the wrench off the fastener. Due to the Tekton's shallow ring and loose fit, there was little resistance against this. The solution was easy: pinch the flat handle to prevent rolling.

Bargain. Not a lot I can say other than the quality is excellent and it's a very good price. Bought for using with screwdriver/torx bits in tight areas. Would def purchase again.

The only tool I managed to use to successfully change the starter motor on my E46. The size and design of this tool is literally perfect for that use. In my case I purchased it solely for that purpose, but overall the tool seems to be high quality as well.
