Your cart is empty.Tekton center punches can be used to mark a center point. These punches are machined to precise tolerances and are designed to mark an exact starting spot for drilling on the workpiece. The punches have a sharp point and a tapered shaft. Each punch is individually heat treated to harden and strengthen the tip while maintaining the soft temper of the striking end. The striking end absorbs hammer blows without chipping. Tekton center punches are made from 5160 high carbon steel and finished with a dry, rust-preventative coating. They're also marked with a high-visibility laser marking. All Tekton punches and chisels are made in the USA.

Tool worked great. The largest size performed well under a few blows to secure a steering rack connection. No evidence of tool bending or damage. I cannot comment on the smaller sizes. I do wish the set came with a tool box/roll or something to contain them.

Quality of the steel is very good. But I'm disappointed in the grind on the cutting edge. It's lopsided and on one it's not even perpendicular to the shaft so the cutting blade is on an angle. I had to regrind them. Not a huge deal but was expecting better grind than I find on tools at a discount store.
