Beefier than most. Side by side of the China craftsman. Better build, heavier. Made in USA, will most likely last a bit longer. It’s very sharp. Should last a long time and perform well during its lifetime. It’s black in appearance so it may get lost. It’s a great value and a good size.

This just arrived today and I have already started using it...I have a couple of wall shelves that I am installing and I needed an awl to get the screw holes started in the wood...There are a load of them with these shelves and I could have used a drill to make a starter hole, but that is a lot more cumbersome and heavy, especially when you're alone and trying to hold the shelf at the same time. This awl is just the thing being light and easy to get into tight spaces with where a drill doesn't...Personally I have never understood why awls are very often left out of home tool kits that seem to come with just about everything else...They are essential as anything else there and I have had tp buy them before with other kits over the years that have left them out...This is a nice size, solid awl that arrived very quickly and came at great price...Highly recommended...

This is one of those tools that you only miss and wish you had one (or a better one) when you need it. For years, I only wished and didn't have. Guess I never got around to getting one. But this nicely made awl is a keeper. I like it, it fits my work well, and use it often. High quality, easy to handle, and doesn't roll away when set down. Sharp, finely-honed point. The only possible drawback is that while the black handle is attractive, I'd like it to be red or some other color so I can more easily find the tool in the shop.Overall, a very nice tool, though.

A ferramenta como disse é excelente para trabalhar com madeira, pode ser usada para fazer orifÃcio inicial onde depois se fará o furo com a broca. Ou como riscador de madeira. Já a tradução que fizeram “furador de arranhões†é desastrosa. Melhor seria alguma coisa como, punção e riscador de madeira.
