I bought this to use for some short videos I'm making. I was able to get the app running on an iPad without a problem. Contrary to other reviewers, I was able to save a script in the Notes program and then cut and paste it into the Moman app.Remote connected and works fine.I was able to set up the teleprompter on a tripod without too much difficulty.The only criticism is on the blackout cloth. It is hard to get it to stay attached and positioned properly. Sometimes it drops down in front of the lens. It's a bit of a pain.Overall I'm pretty happy. I use it regularly and it does what I need it to do.

The companies these days are so "bait and switch". Its a good thing Amazons return policy has never let me down. They start with something great then slowly start degrading quality and raising prices... its not a business model build on integrity but rather built on business... and the consumer pays the price for everything.The initial reviews I saw on this teleprompter showed that it worked well with iPhones in horizontal and vertical shooting modes. They also showed a much more innovative phone attachment as well... which absolutely led me to buy this. HOWEVER, when I got the MT12 they had changed the phone attachment to a much more simple style (and cheap as heck too) and it did not work at all with my iPhone 13 pro max. When I notified the company no one responded. Its sad too because they do have something nice here...The MT12 looked great with my iPhone 10XR as the reader using "Promtsmart Pro" (39.00 on app store) and im certain you will like it when using a mirrorless camera.. but once again, if you are buying this to use your phone as the recorder it will not work. Moman needs to step it up or they will miss a huge part of the market share to brands like Elgato. Honestly, I would've paid 180.00-200.00 for the MT12 if it would have worked well with my phone because after getting it all set up it sure looked sweet... and the carrying case that comes with it will be nice to have for sure.If I had a mirrorless camera I would probably buy this again because these types of prompters do not need anything but a reading device, like a spare phone or iPad ect... which means you can take it anywhere. Using this with a feelworld 7" monitor with Magicue software on my PC. Works great. Cannot get the app either in android or iOS to recognize the remote. Bluetooth connects, but not the app. Actually I cannot even get the app running in Android.

Hardware:I had to return this due to poor manufacturing. I love love love the concept of having so many 1/4" attachment screw threads around the screen. That's why I originally chose this. However, there were too many manufacturing defects.It's all about the screws. To adjust the angle of the screen, you loosen two thumb screws. However, one of mine was locked up tight and could not be turned. Now, it was loose and could be moved anywhere int he track, but it couldn't ever be tightened down. Failure.Next was the distance adjustment. To move your camera further back (for example if you're using a longer lens) there's no easy adjustment. They advertise that it's easily adjustable, but in reality you have to remove four screws from the bottom, slide the camera mount back, then re-install the four screws. I sued the supplied hex wrench, but could only loosen 3 of the 4 screws. The fourth had been cross-threaded by the manufacturer, and attempting to loosen the screw merely stripped the hex indentation on the top. To fix this I would need to drill out the screw and replace it -- which was not worth the effort, not when. the screen adjustment thumb screw was also damaged.Software:This may sound nuts, but the MOMAN teleprompter app has no way at all to import text. None. You have to manually type each script inside their app on your phone or tablet. You cannot save that script somewhere else. You cannot use a script you've already written. Without a way to import a pre-existing text file or MD file, the app is worthless.If you already have a different app and remote and just need the hardware, then great, this should work fine for you, provided all your screws are adjustable. Otherwise, find a product that actually works.

Velcro that connects the cloth hood to the frame could be improved. The Velcro now requires a continuous check to maintain its position.
