WHAT IS A HEXEUM REFLECTOR TELESCOPE?
- Our telescope is called a REFLECTOR TELESCOPE. It consists of an open tube with a curved mirror at the bottom. The open end of the tube is pointed at the object in the sky and the entering light rays strike the mirror at the bottom. The rays, reflected from the mirror, strike a second mirror called a diagonal. As a result of the curvature of the main mirror, the light rays are bent to meet at a point.
- The mirror in a reflector telescope must be painstakingly ground to the proper curvature to achieve the correct focal point. The purpose of the diagonal mirror, which is located a short distance before the focal point, is to reflect the light rays toward the side of the tube where an eyepiece magnifies the image for you.
- This telescope has an equatorial mount. It is extremely versatile because it allows the telescope to move in all directions. Thus, your telescope can track a star's movement across the sky in the same path that the star seems to take(called a diurnal movement). It has flexible cable controls. This makes it possible to move the telescope while looking through it.

What can I say? I've always wanted a telescope since I was a kid, the stars and moon and galaxy are such an amazing thing to me and to get to view the moon this close.... I can't believe I waited so long but it's well worth the money! It also comes with a camera mount to take amazing pictures of the moon with your phone

This telescope is a very good telescope for beginners to use! You can capture high quality images of the moons craters, along with good pictures of the rest of the planets. From my personal experience, I found clouds on Venus, some notable features of mars like Mount Olympus Mons, the tallest in the solar system! It also comes with two eyepieces and a 3x barlow lens for extra detail! If the solar system is not enough, you can see beautiful nebulae, like Orion. Along with that, you can see even the moons of the solar system too! From my experience, I found 5 different moons of Jupiter and even Mars's tiny moons, Phobos and Deimos. In conclusion, this item is a very fascinating tool for beginners and even adults too. I have become obsessed with the night sky and use my telescope every single day! This is worth the buy and is easy to assemble. This is worth a try and once you assemble it, you will never see the night sky the same way ever again!

I have to say that this telescope has been a big disappointment. The stand is incredibly shaky and not nearly stable enough to use the telescope accurately. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but the magnification is really poor and falls way short of the promotional pictures. I live in the Blue Mountains of Australia with really clear pollution free sky, and I can't get a really clear picture of anything other than a reasonable view of the moon. If I had my time over I would choose something else.
