Did I say the pointy end was sharp? Well, it is. This fishing gaff is suitable for smaller fish that you need to get ahold of. I will be mostly using this gaff for ice fishing in Alaska, but kayak fishing also works. The ice hole is too small to get a net into so a gaff works just right. This gaff is the perfect size for this.It is an extendable gaff so that it is easy to store. It is very sharp and so it gets the fish quite easily, even some of those species with thick skin. I use mine primarily for trout and pike.

This is nice to have when you hook a Goliath! I keep the cover on the hooks end since I only want to get it close enough to grab. (Bulkhead)
