So, I originally purchased this extending pointer so I can irritate what I would call a cranky 13 year old while she did virtual school as I teach in another virtual class. It WAS supposed to keep her awake and focusing. It worked wonders. She’s been awake and focused on her classes since she didn’t want to get poked/nudged. Well, I guess she got tired of it and has decided to abandon me for the good old fashion brick and mortar school and now I’m sad. Oh well. Although I won’t be able to make my colleagues entertained by attaching odd things, I can now play with an orange terror and keep it occupied. As well as to poke the 13 old cranky pants, or anything really, from a safe distance.It’s a comfortable weight not too heavy and definitely light weight which makes it easier to hold out with one handed for long periods of time.It’s shaft is sturdy. I was afraid that it would be one of those items that would break or bend when extended and some pressure is placed on it.It also has a nice slide to close which is perfect for slow emphasizing and it won’t close when you don’t want it to.Very happy with the poking stick.

Overall I've been very satisfied with this pointer. I needed a relative small pointer and this was exactly what I was looking for. It's basic, but the parts seem sturdy and well made. When collapsed it's the size of a small pen and clips easily onto a notebook. The tip and handle are metal, so if you need a soft-tipped pointer, you need to look for another product.

The pointer is simple and easy to use. I placed a quarter in the picture for scale. In the hand, it does feel like a light piece of plastic which gives the feeling of low quality material; however, it is not. It does extend and collapse smoothly. I do not detect any shaking or rattling of parts. So, it is solidly constructed. I highly recommend this pointer to others. Again, light weight, smooth movement; and a nice orange-tip for visibility. However, it does feel like a light piece of plastic.

I teach multiple disciplines of high school mathematics, and each year I create many reference posters. Some of these posters hang relatively high in my classroom, and I’ve always had to point, somewhat ineffective. However now that I have this telescoping pointer, my students know exactly what I am referencing. The weight makes it sturdy, and I can easily reach to the ceiling with it. Yet when it’s collapsed in can easily fit it in my top desk drawer. I get daily use out of this pointer, and I can’t foresee needing to buy a second one in the future as a result of its quality.This pointer is certainly an effective alternative, and I absolutely recommend this with confidence.

I purchased this pointer to use for my commercial vehicle inspections but it can be used for so much more (demonstrations, facilitations, etc.). It is sturdy and extends to a comfortable length and retracts as a pen-like tool. Thank you for such a lovely purchase! I will definitely buy again.

It's a nice pointer that retracts for easy storage and has a wristband that makes it easy to hold. Although it is long, it can be adjusted to fit your needs.

I feel like a badass teacher when I use this to point to the whiteboard or big screen in the classroom.This thing is simple, but a necessary teaching tool.

I wanted a pointer for use in my classroom when I need to point to posters that are up high, which is frequently. I was concerned about whether the pointer would feel flimsy when fully extended but it is very sturdy. I also like the red tip which makes it easy for students to track. An excellent addition to any language teacher’s kit.
