When there is no sound from all output ports, check the following:
1. Check if the TV supports ARC function.
2. Check if the HDMI cable is connected to an ARC-enabled HDMI connector on the TV.
3.Check if the input switch of the converter is in the corresponding position.
4. Check if the TV has the ARC function turned on (turn it on using the TV remote control).
5. Check that the HDMI cable is an AGW26-compliant HDMI version 1.4 HD cable (poor quality or HDMI version 1.3 cables do not have the ARC function).

I have a 1970's vintage Marantz receiver and wanted to hook up a new Samsung TV to it. Since my TV doesn't have RCA outputs and my receiver does not have HDMI inputs, I decided to buy this to try getting them connected. It works great! The TV sound is now coming through my receiver and sounds great and the TV remote controls the volume. Very happy with this purchase!

This is a tiny device that does the job. I connected it to HDMI-ARC from my Samsung monitor/TV and via high end RCA cables to my Parasound P5 preamp. It works nicely. Sound is great through my hi-fi system. The quality of the RCA audio cables matters. The first set of cables I tried produced no sound output from the Tendak device. Now I hope the device is durable.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to control the volume from the source. That part works but I get a constant low rumble through the subwoofer that seems to be originating from this device.

I'm using it to extract the audio signal from the HDMI connection from my TV to my Receiver. The extracted audio goes into a Hearing Aid transmitter box so I can listen to the TV sound via my hearing aids while the sound also comes through the speakers. Unfortunately the power on/off via the TV remote control seems to have gotten lost in the box (CEC)

I used to get my surround sound speakers (inside and out) to work with my TV until I got a new Samsung. After researching the problem on you tube we found this item and it was so easy to hook up and the sound is awesome again!

So i got this in the mail & got excited to try it out. Thought it was actually going to work & it just got all smoky. I panicked & threw it in the trash!! What a rip off!! Never buying anything like this again!! Terrible product!!

I used the extractor to port the sound from a circa 2016ish Samsung Smart TV that did not have a headphone jack. I used the HDMI ARC input jack to hook up to the TV and then plugged a wired Sony headset into the headphone jack and USB to a USB outlet on the power strip protecting the TV. All I had to do was switch the sound setting on the TV from the TV speakers to the HDMI ARC and it automatically fed the sound to the headset every time the TV was turned on.

This worked perfectly. I had an old Bose 123 receiver and a new Samsung tv that only had hdmi ports. One of the hdmi ports supports ARC, which allowed me to connect the audio optical ports from this device to the receiver and connect the HDMI arc port on the TV to the HDMI arc on this device and voile my old speakers worked.Granted I can't use the universal remote on the old Bose receiver but the sound makes that inconvenience bearable.

Ya habÃa gastado en diferentes productos y ninguno me funcionó hasta que comrpré finalmente este que sà extrae el audio del televisór para esucharlo via óptica o auxiliar en mi equipo de sonido antiguo.

Solo funciono la salida de hdmi, la publicación indica que funcionan las 3 salidas de audio pero no es asi, al menos en mi instalacion no funciono
