Tenon Refractory Mortar
Tenon Refractory Mortar is a dry, preblended mortar. This specially engineered blend of performance cements and aggregates gives the mortar unique heat resistance and thermal characteristics for use in high temperature applications.
Easy to Use!
Clean
Clean area of any loose materials. Make sure area is dry prior to application.
Mix
Mix only the amount that can be placed in 60 minutes. Add water, and mix to a smooth, lump-free consistency.
Apply
Check with brick manufacturer for their joint thickness recommendations and installation guidelines.
Let dry!
Tool material if needed. Allow a minimum of 7 to 10 days before heat is applied.

Use this product in conjunction with fire bricks I’ll purchase from Amazon and saved over $2100 on having someone do the job. I did it myself minimal time and had excellent outcome.

Set quickly, only had instructions for mixing the whole container instead of mixing per part. Has held up well so far.

This is only the second brand of refractory mortar I have used but it was excellent. It was much better and easier to work with than the other brand I tried. I highly recommend this product.

You can see in the background the mortar mix. Keep it the right consistency and it works extremely well.I filled 75% of the fire place floor fire bricks. It filled well and looked good.
