As a machinist for a living, I normally use the major brands such as Starrett, Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe. I was looking for a cheap import set but I still wanted them to be accurate to within 1 or 2 thousanths. These worked for my needs and I do use them daily at work but as a quick referance, when there are no critical tolerances. That said, I had to debur all sharp edges with a stone, to remove the heavy burrs. Also, these are by no means buttery smooth like a quality set of ground and lapped calipers. So for the $20 price tag, you really couldn't go wrong and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair in the future.

Just need a cheap yet accurate pare of caliper works fine and haven’t been snatched from me at work yet

Accuracy of these calipers isn’t very good. Will not return to zero when you bring them back together. Not repeatable.

I got these to replace a set of electronic calipers for reloading metallic cartridges. On first trial they seem accurate and repeatable. There's no paperwork or instructions included, but its not really needed.They feel fine and work freely out of the box, no glaring defects.

Unlike the electronic calipers, this is predictable and dependable. Good investment.
