We just purchased some cross country skis for our family. We wanted something that would securely store them on the wall in our garage but was not interested in either a plastic or metal rack that may scratch them. We took a chance on this more expensive wood rack and couldn't be happier with it. It's very well made and safely holds the skis in place. The rack comes fully assembled except for 3 hooks that smoothly slide into place. Mounting was super easy as it comes with 3 long screws that fit perfectly in the pre-drilled screw holes that are measured 16 inches part in order to align with typical 2x4 wall stud spacing. Overall, this was a great purchase and worth the extra money!

Easy to install. Came with long wood screws but no anchors. Fits skis and poles for 3 of us and my husband's snowboard hangs on this as well. I loosened his board bag strap the full length and it will hang on this rack (with the board resting where the skis would normally go). Has enough space for 4 sets of snow/hiking poles. I installed a shelf above the rack to hold snow shoes and fishing gear. Looks great! Love the natural wood.

I didn't install the product myself, so I didn't rate that. Overall, I like this product a lot. Our prior racks were a little too far apart, so the skis would separate at the bottom when we would hang them. These have the angled slides which are great for keeping the skis pressed close together and so they don't separate when hanging. We have some stiff gate skis that are somewhat thick, and they fit very tightly...if it was a major problem, we could sand the two racks to open up a bit of space for them, but it's not necessary. I also love having the separate hanger for poles.

We hung this in our storage closet in our condo. It hung our skis poles and helmets. It is awesome. and sturdy. I would recommend it.
