Altho strong, without much impregnated wax and only 2-ply, there's not much gription to hold tight as lacing cord for wire cables.Returning it.

I have several spools of this cording. I love the colors and the way it feels as I make coiled pine needle baskets with it. I didn't know whether to buy burgundy or wine this time. The colors online don't always come out the way the actual product looks. I wanted a dark red, so I bought both. They are both lovely, but the burgundy is a dark red color almost like dried red blood, which is what I was looking for. The wine leans more toward a brownish color with a faint hint of red.
