This item is not necessary for beads and wire but it sure does make things a lot easier and convenient.Highly recommend whether you're a beginner or seasoned jewelry person.It takes a bit of practice to handle it and be efficient but I don't know how I went without it.

Purchased to enable making nice-looking bends in component-leads, ground loops, etc. for electronics-hobbying, one of the first uses was to fix the bottom dish-tray in a dishwasher. Having a personal policy of rarely sacrificing a job for a tool (replacement tools are nearly always cheaper than paying someone else for repairs or replacing broken items), I used these pliers to make clips from pieces of 2mm-thick (yeah!) stainless-steel wire. The pliers never grunted and did what was needed, even for that! And they still work for detailed work with fine copper wire. The things are really built well! Btw, I chose these instead of those with the end-tapered type, because trying to bend two separate ends of wires neatly on anything requires selecting the same place along the taper...not something I trusted myself to do well.

Was somewhat disappointed in Amazons price. The very same Beadsmith tool was 2 dollars less at Hobby Lobby. Guess I will start checking prices before buying items.

This is one of the most awesome jewelry tools ever. I'd been using round-nosed pliers for a while and using a Sharpie to mark the spot I was using for my current loops. This tool takes all the guess-work out sizing loops, and each size straight/not slanted, so you get the same sized loop every single time. It also helps you to make straight aligned loops for the same reason. Just one of the more useful tools out there, and I wish I had gotten it much sooner. Makes wire-work so much easier!Good quality metal, no burrs, comfortable handle. Very pleased with this purchase.

I tried the 1-Step Looper. I bought all 3 sizes available and did everything I could to get them to work. But I found it difficult to get the loop closed after inserting charms. This tool made looping so much easier and I didn't have much wire waste.

I love these six step wire loopers Beadsmith are a good brand definitely worth getting . Easy to use and they cope with my abuse giggle . Every loop looks just right even with my eyes crossed at 3am . Get one you won't regret getting it . You might regret all the other pliers, snips and piles of wire that go with wire work ;-)
