No-Hassle Installation Process
Once you know the basics, it will become easier to disassemble, remove parts, and then replace the worn-out parts of your Dolphin pool cleaner. But the exact process may vary from model to model. This installation guide is based on the replacement instructions for Dolphin Nautilus combined brushes and climbing rings.
- Open the sides of the pool cleaner, You will need a screwdriver to remove the 4 screws on the side panel.
- Remove the tracks on each side/end of the opened pool cleaner.
- Snap out the ends of the brush roller, one end after the other.
- Only when both ends are snapped out that you can lift the brush roller out of the pool cleaner's frame.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the small cap off the end of the brush roller's center tube.
- Remove the roller's center tube and then remove the gear caps.
- CAUTION: Check the climbing rings' pliability. Whether you are replacing both or just the climbing rings, dried-out foam rollers are difficult to remove and may damage the brushes. Soak the brush roller in water until they become softer and more pliable.
- Slide the climbing rings off the brush rollers.
- Install the new climbing rings. When you receive the new rings, please soak it thoroughly in water in order to prepare the product for optimal usage. Be careful in installing the climbing rings. Slide them in slowly and ensure that they are sitting in their designated space.
- Reassemble the brush roller assemblies, replace them in their designated slots, return the tracks, and screw back the side panels.

Well priced and now my Premier climbs the walls like new. Had to soak for probably 4 hours, however, before they were spongy enough to get on. Perhaps one of the easier installations I've ever had to make.

Good value for the money. There were other products available via Amazon (for a lower cost) as well as others but the reviews seemed less favorable. Shipping was prompt and arrived on day promised. Installation was easy. I Googled the process on the MayTronic/Dolphin website. Including removing the rollers (my OEM climbing rings had long since fallen off ;( ) the whole process took less than 15 minutes! Interestingly, the Calvana climbing rings had a degree of moistness when I removed them from the sealed plastic package. Many of the reviews for other products commented on the “dryness†of some of the rings. The moistness of the Calvana rings definitely made for ease of installation. These replacements seem to have restored near original performance to my Neptune Plus. I can safely recommend these climbing rings to anyone wishing to replace worn or missing climbing rings on their MayTronic pool robot. BTW, this product currently has a 10% discount going on! Sadly, I ordered too soon :(, oh well.

They come hard and need to be soaked to soften. Warm water works faster. Easy to install and Dolphin is working great.

I originally took these off thinking they were to prevent flattening of the brush rolls! HaI installed them and unit is faster, cleans better due to absorbing water weight and keeping unit pinned down to surface and also climbs better!Be very carefull taking rolls off. The clips holding them in have very thin "c" clips holding them in and can snap off easily ,as I did to 1st one I took off. They get brittle from clorine. Pry roll out fully and then lift out. Another person and 2 prying devises such as long screwdrivers would make a world of differences. Other than that its super easy.

Exactly what I needed to replace my ripped grippers. Soaking didn’t really soften them up until I squeezed them under water for a bit to make them flexible enough to stretch around the end of the roller. Everything else was easy for installing. No problems at all!

These climbing wheels are absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! I’ve purchased these numerous times over the years and they used to work great. But something in the manufacturing process has changed that has caused a significant impact to quality. These wheels now arrive rock hard and you have to soak them in water for several hours until they are soft enough to install. The installation is much more difficult than it used to be because the wheels are slightly smaller. Once installed the wheels don’t last even remotely as long as they used to. Mine lasted 4 weeks before breaking off! They used to last 6+ months! Overall, these wheels are a complete waste of money! TERRIBLE QUALITY!!!!!
