HOW IT WORKS While the manual “constant drip” requires a constant rate of water to dripping, the engineering of the Freeze Miser releases only the necessary amount of water to prevent your faucet from freezing. Its patented design allows it to sense the internal water temperature, allowing no water to drip until the water temperature drops below 37°F/3°C...and that means better faucet freeze protection using the least amount of water. Unlike the average spigot cover that merely insulates your faucet to slow down the freezing process, the Freeze Miser prevents freezing entirely, meaning better protection for your spigot and pipes.

These really work on outside faucets. I’ve used 6 of them for 2 years with no issues. The 3rd season I’ve had one device fail to drip. The others are still going strong. I use pipe insulation to wrap the body of my faucets as a backup to the drip device so the single failure didn’t do any harm. In very cold weather the pipe insulation alone has failed to protect faucets, but no frozen faucets with the combination of wrap and drip.

We had 7 outdoor faucets. Decided to take a risk on purchasing, product is not CHEAP, appears they worked. We had 4 days of freezing temperatures and NO PROBLEMS or water messes. We did see drippings, but not big puddles, like running faucets.

I have used Freeze Mizers for the past 3 winters. They work as claimed. I have not had to repair or replace any line or faucet that they are on.

We have used these two winters in a row. In 2023, we purchased a 4 pack. One out of the 4 is now cross-threaded due to having soft plastic threads. I'd be willing to pay extra for a premium version with metal or brass threads and fittings. Until that is offered, I'm attaching each one with a quick-connect so that the chances of cross-threading are greatly diminished. We just purchased in 2024 an 8 pack so that every hose and connection on our farm is protected.
