I use well water in my humidifiers and would have to clean my devices a few times per week to prevent bacteria build-up (a slimy brown residue). I put in about 6 to 10 drops per 1 gallon and have not had any issues with residue since I have included this in my humidifier filling routine. It really does work well. I know there was some concern about the bottle in another review, but I have not had an issue. You do have to squeeze it a bit, but you can clearly see the drops coming out of the bottle and it helps to regulate adding too much of the solution. I will be purchasing this again.

What a wonderful product!! I was having issues with minerals in my water for my humidifier. Bought this product and it solved it instantly. No more white residue left behind on my furniture. You use 6 drops per gallon of water. I highly recommend this product. I will be purchasing more in the future.

Update 3/24: product works great as described earlier, but the plastic bottle it comes in is hard to squeeze for the drops. I cut it open and put it in a glass bottle with easy dropper. (First review earlier): Today was the first day I cleaned a small humidifier unit (with white vinegar) and I was so impressed by how little mineral accumulation. I’ve use 3 Dry Chem Humidifier drops each time I’ve used it. That seems to keep it clean and running. It works like a champ and so useful in the arid climate of Colorado. These drops make using a humidifier easy!

I was just raving to a friend who was talking about how gross her humidifiers got about these drops. I can't believe how effective they are. I live in Maine where winters are long, cold, and dry af. Humidifiers throughout the house are a must. I can tell you that never in my entire life of having humidifiers have they stayed this clean. They were cleaner at the end of the *season* with these drops than they are inside of 5 days without these drops. I now have several bottles, one for each floor of the house, so we never refill a humidifier without these. I should probably start giving these out for christmas presents.

The picture is what I strained out of the liquid. As many reviews stated, the plastic bottle is terrible. I hadn’t even used 1/3 of this yet and was having issues with it dropping out. I ordered a glass eye dropper and bottle to use. The blue particles I strained out weren’t there when I received this. The plastic bottle obviously disintegrates, which could cause problems with a humidifier.

My humifier was not working properly...even on high, the humidity level did not get above 30s. Thought I would need to get a new one. Added these drops and the first nite the humidity level hit the 60s! Using for a few nites now, calibrated the humidity level to medium and all is good now! No need for a new humidifier.

This is super easy to use and helps prevent too much calcium deposit buildup in our humidifiers. Definitely continue to clean your humidifiers on a weekly basis but this helps during those in-between washes.

This humidifier is very quiet and runs as promised for over 48 hours. It is very easy to refill and carry with the handle inserted and needs limited care.Definitely a good product.
