The black tip on the endpin of my upright bass was leaving black marks on our white carpet. This solved the problem. It's nicely made and neatly packaged. It works.

My daughter plays the upright bass and we have hardwood floors. This protects my hardwood from the end pin and keeps the bass from sliding around making it easier for her to control. Great but simple product.

I play alot in Florida, on outside surfaces made of sea shells. I've ground off three end pin plugs this season. I believe using one of these secures the bass and makes it nearly impossible to wear through the rubber end pin.

Got this for my daughter's double bass. Sturdy construction, good heft and a good grip make it an excellent choice. She loves it.
