I had the original thermometer, but all the probes were silver with the exxception of colored o-rings, that discolored over temperature. I ordered these taking a chance on the tip size. It was a perfect 2.5mm male mono plug....I recommend it for anyone looking to replace their thermometer.

sturdy and strong. I can ram it in to a roast or pork butt without any fear of it bending. very accurate. Do not submerge. The first time will damage it.

The TP-22 that I bought in 2018 used longer plugs than those made later. I now have a new TP-22 and the plgs are shorter, the same size as these. While these did not fit my original model, they will fit the newer ones. Measure the length from the tip of the plug tp the base of the plug. If it is 0.4 (4 tenths of an inch) this is the correct repalacement. If it is .06 (6tenths of an inch) this probe will not work and you should contact the company for help. Original rating: This product is advertised as fitting the TP-22. It does NOT fit the TP-22 and will not work. The TP-22 has a .06 inch socket and the TPW-02 probe plug is 0.4 inches long, not long enough to make contact with the sensor. How this mistake can be made by the actual maker of the TP-22 AND the TPW-02 probe is confusing to me. I still don’t how to find a replacement meat probe though I have found a replacement oven probe with the model number TWP-04.

I bought this for a back up to my Grilla Grills pellet grill smoker. These unfortunately have a known issue for failing probes however their customer services is amazing so I am not concerned but I would like a spare. I bought this to back the smoker probe incase it fails.I plugged it in and compared to a direct read thermometer & the factory one. They were accurate to within .5 a degree. I am pretty happy with that. I will change this review if fails however so far so good. Good length on cord & probe. The knurled blue anodized handle is nice also.

Works as expected. Price was right. My digital meat thermometer was reading 20 degrees above the actual. I changed the batteries and still had the same problem. The next step was to change the probe. As I suspected, the probe had run its course and needed to be changed. Very accurate reading now!

The 4th time I used this probe it read room temperature at 141.6 degrees. A different probe, reads the same room temp at the same time as 70.1. This probe is crap.

I bought the original thermometer and damaged one probe. Amazon has a spare probe at a good price. Not often you get spare parts these days. Normally have to buy the whole set again
