I use this for a pair of pond heaters. It looks to be slightly higher quality than other units I’ve best that eventually randomly fail. LED light is a nice visible touch although hard to see outside.

I use these on my chickens water in upstate NY. It saves money and easy to use. It works perfect on my horses water bucket as well. It saves having to turn them on and off. It works great for the heated cat houses too.

The plastic could be thicker and quality seems like it could be a bit better compared to another brand that I had bought in the past, but they did work as described. I set these up in my water softener shed outside to control a heat lamp when the temperature got low. I also put one on the well pump outside.

I use this to keep my home water pumps and the pipes in my small pump houses from freezing all winter long. I plug in 2 light fixtures with incandescent to produce a small amount of heat. I use 2 in case either bulb fails, there is a backup. I check both bulbs monthly to make sure they are working properly, I have used this method for many years. I also have added a temperature sensor that transmits the pumphouse temperature to a receiver with an alarm in my home.

Using it to control garage space heater. Verified it works by storing it in a cold space before placing it into service

I can't really test the actual temperature that these react too but they do go on when the temperature drops to near freezing, but they seem to stay on until it gets really warm. They need to be more responsive to increasing temperatures.
