My daughter is learning the play the violin and I got these for her to use with her new violin. They work great and came recommended from her orchestra teacher.

When I started learning to play the violin 65 years ago, these didn't exist. Violin strings were either sweet and mellow sheep gut, or harsh-sounding steel. The sheep gut strings were magnificent, but short-lived, and wouldn't stay in tune with variations in temperature and humidity. Then, some years ago a God-inspired genius developed the "Perlon" string, and there are no finer ones than Thomastik Dominant. They have a nylon core, they have a lovely sweet tone similar to the old gut strings, they stay in tune once broken in, and they are long-lasting. If you can afford them, buy these for your violin. You will NOT regret it.

Sound good I do want t try Evah's next but if they aren't anything better then these are a solid reliable source. E string sounds great A is nice too D is alright G perhaps can be sharper in sound but it's cool. I do like these Dom's and good deal here with fast shipping. Cheers

I like the tone quality and the depth and warmth of the string. They also last quite a while without going false and needing to be changed. Use them on my violin G, D, and A strings.

Solid Choice for dependable sound quality and tone. It's been my choice of strings for years. I'm sure there are new options, but unless someone can make a compelling argument for a different set, I'll stick to these.

Replaced my A string for the first time since my high school orchestra days(11 years ago) after it broke, and didn’t know what I was missing out on. This string just sounds brighter and nicer.
