Put this on my instrument. Went on well. The strings sound beautiful.

Replaced steel strings on old 3/4 German violin. They tuned up quickly and stayed in tune. They project well and have improved the tone. I’ve ordered 2 more sets to replace the strings on 2 4/4 violins to see if the provide the improvement on the full size violins that they did in the 3/4. After 1 week of playin 30 minutes per day, they’ve remained in tune and still sound great.

Great product, easy to install, sounds good but my daughter is a beginner.

After changing my E string on my violin, I noticed the sound just didn’t sound right. Even after fine tuning, must be a default.

A good string. It’s on my violin and he is doing everything you’re supposed to.

Better than thought. Sounds scratchy but loud enough. Not very clear. Bass sounds quite good. If for beginning students learning to make sounds, it’s fine.

I am an experienced luthier and musician, having been a professional musician for over 40 years. I use and play synthetic strings all the time, different brands, but mostly Dominants. However, in my repair work the cost of good synthetic strings has gotten out of hand of late and I thought I'd try a set of these Rhythm brand strings on one of my rebuilt instruments. I figured that if they were even close to being like most synthetics that I would be OK in using them on occasion on a student fiddle or two and save some money here and there. I installed them on a better Chinese instrument that I had revoiced a bit just to see what they sounded like, hoping for an improvement over the Prelude steel strings that were on it. To my amazement, these Rhythm strings sounded quite harsh and were very uncomfortable to play - - so I put the steel Preludes back on and noticed an immediate change back to "OK". Hmm - - so, not to be outdone I put the Rhythm "synthetic" strings on a much weaker-sounding Czech fiddle that was just laying around here that I used for teaching, and again the sound became incredibly harsh and downright offensive to the ears. And, to make it worse, it was now very hard to note - - these strings seem very tight, much harder and uncomfortable to play. I then tried them on multiple fiddles, and again with the same harsh sound and playability. Therefore, I will not be buying these again and cannot in good faith recommend these strings to anyone, especially a beginner. It would be a sure way of discouraging a student by turning their instrument into a painful ordeal, both on the fingers and the ears. How anyone can recommend strings this bad is beyond me. I really doubt that they are even synthetic, due to the very stiff pressure required to note them, and the resulting loud tone is certainly not pleasant, either. No cigar here - - look elsewhere.

As a violin instructor and performer, I was willing to try new strings that may offer additional cost effective solutions to string replacement. I enjoy using Synthetic strings versus gut strings because of Stability with tuning and the bright sound. These strings were subpar for many reasons:1. Strings way too long for 4/4 violin (way way too long for 3/4 as it advertised) - too much material in peg box2. Strings are very thin and would be uncomfortable for anyone to play.3. E String had no Bridge protector to protect Bridge from being damaged by the cutting action an E string could do. (Damaged bridge could be costly)4. The winding near the Ball was freying, which would alert me to possible future issues.I was hopeful that these strings would have made decent backup strings for me and good strings for Students. Not suggested at All!
