I have found these strings extremely easy to play. They respond quickly with a clear tone. This helps with intonation while playing double stops.

Instantly sounded great the moment I put them on. Clear, full tone, and not bright, perfect for my cello; the A and C are particularly excellent and not too nasal sounding. The action is great and they speak effortlessly. Will buy again!

I have used Jargar strings for the most part of my career, but I decided to give the Versums a try, and I am not dissapointed. Really great strings with a wonderful sound.

I love these strings and it has made my new cello sound so much richer and complex. The cello overtones ring! They are expensive, but if they last a long time, as they are reported to, I'll be very happy. The only drawback I had was that the A string sounded a bit thin and not as wonderful as the other strings. I think this may have been a function of my cello and not the string. It has a good sound. But I purchased a Passione A string which matches beautifully with the Versum D, G, and C. Now I have the perfect setup for my cello.

45 years of trying to find the ideal strings for my cello; my go-to set eventually came down to Spirocore Tungsten G & C, and either Larsen A&D or Jargar A&D. My cello grew accustomed to that arrangement and I've tried most every other string out there, thinking a different combo would work better. I talked to a friend who had just purchased a set of Versum and he felt they were great on his cello, so hesitantly, I also bought a full set. It turns out they are excellent - and work extremely well on my picky cello. They stay in tune with little effort. I will say they seemed to require about a 2-week period to adjust and blend well, but well worth it. If Thomastik does not change their approach to and manufacture of these strings, I will be using them from now on.

I have an old Italian cello that's sort of said to these strings "where have you been all my life." Rich, strong tone, very responsive, and exceedingly well-balanced across the strings. We will see how well they last.

Sound good. Very expensive. Strings take a while to break in. That is normal. Did i mention they are crazy expensive? I should play better for this price.
