This adorable flower hides a rotary blade safely while you cut your threads from chain- piecing. A great value, sturdy solid wood, works great to recycle used blades and speed up your sewing!

looks pretty in my sewing room and lessens how often I have to maneuver my arthritic hands into scissors handles, speeds up chain piecing

Got this for my mil and my wife unpacked it and cut her finger so it’s sharp. Looked to be sturdy enough for the job and should work well.

This thread cutter is the type frequently used in cutting the chain of thread between fabric pieces when chain piecing quilt blocks. It is important to note that the flower design ships randomly and is not your choice. The flower design seems fainter or lighter than expected from what is shown on the product page. The size of the cutter is about 2.75"w X 2.25"h. The flower just fits in the base and, not tightly. The base has thickened non skid dots that help prevent it from moving around while using. Threads can be cut easily on the blade between flower petals. Yarn doesn't cut as well since, the blades don't stick out very far from the flower. A screwdriver and allen wrench can be used to open and change out the blade in the flower cutter by reusing the old 45mm blades from your rotary cutter.

I do a lot of chain piecing and was so pleased to discover this blade tool in wood instead of plastic. I am very pleased with it.

Such a handy little device. Perfect for cutting those threads between chain pieced quilting pieces! Or any thread. Well made, too!
