It took awhile to figure out my Toto toilet seat had a deodorizing filter - and how to replace it. Nut once established , this replacement worked great.

Not OEM quality to my eyes.Charcoal might be charcoal.Flimsy foam connects the two halves, thereby making the casing flexible. Likely not a big issue because the enclosure provides structure.Fits C5 if you cut both tabs off.Because it is larger, there is more material for air to travel through.That may mean longer contact with the catalyst.Or it might mean the fan needs to work a bit harder.It definitely changed the pitch.Time will tell how effective it is.Might be worth saving the money.Holding on to the original - that probably has a lot of life left in it still.Worth a try.

It has a strong adsorption capacity. It effectively adsorbs odors from the bathroom and I'm glad that since I've been using it, the toilet no longer smells bad, it's worth every penny!

Perfect replacement for Toto S350E, once I discovered that there was a charcoal filter there, as the manual shows the vent, but no info on the charcoal filter inside.

The name of this product has "Replace OEM TOTO THU9476 Deodorizer" in the title, this could possibly be confusing to customers thinking this is an original OEM part, which it is not. It should be more clearly labeled as a third party alternative.This product feels flimsy since the two halves are just held together with some foam tape, the original part is solid and the two halves don't move around. There is also space around the filter for this third party product and it does not appear to create a good seal. I returned this and purchased the actual OEM part.
