This press makes changing u joints way easier than even a c clamp type press. I have used the larger version for years on semis. Made changing my urethane locked GM units a lot easier because it only pushes 1 cap out at a time and less chance of damaging the yoke.

Replaced original u-joints on a 1973 Chevelle. They were rusted in. I put a lot of torque on this tool and expected it to break, but it did not. The joints popped out with a bang. Wish I had bought one of these years ago.

my 96 Ford 7.3 P S , 4x4 , the right front wheel has 2 u joints , the book says you have to take the 3rd member out to remove the C clip holding the axle in , this tool allows you to remove the U joint without removing differential { 3rd member } this is a very limited space operation , I just got it apart , I recommend cleaning up the both yokes to facilitate a easier assembly to me it was well spent money for a great tool . My 1995 F-250 4x4 has a wishbone front axle, so there is a u-joint in the middle. This tool saved me so much work time and effort! I also used it for both u-joints at my front wheels, and will use on my 4 u-joints on drive shafts. I didn't notice any ware on the tool (faces or threading). Great tool to own!

Used this for U-joints on third gen 4runner, Man I wish I had bought this thing sooner. Super easy and fast. I Did both joints in under an hour including removing and installing the driveshaft. Have started to purchase other tiger tools now because of this. Only negative is to my wallet.

Yes, the description does tell you if you read everything. But you have to look to find it. I bought this to replace the u joints on my f350 super duty. I ordered it. As I read through to the end , it says does not work on double carden shafts. I will keep it because I know they work really well on regular u joints. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use it on this job. So four stars.

It was enjoyable to merely set the u-joint tool (under the ear and onto the cross) and twist the driver. Only a light tapping on the ear was necessary to un-bungle the corroded u-joint caps (and only when twisting became too difficult), and the movement was regained. The large-ish price is overcome by: ease to use with a simply good fit and quality build. This well built, durable tool should come with a trophy case! I will definitely keep it well oiled for my next (road-solvent-corroded) u-joint replacement.More mobile than a bench vice and easier than the C-clamp method(s), and the new caps were easily pressed in with my bearing kit.

Purchased this to do u-joints on a 2005 F350 DRW. Quality tool and had the joints out in a matter of minutes. I tried a C-Clamp style press and the joints were so seized the clamp bent on one of the ends. Should have just purchased this in the first place! With the help of a 1/2" impact this made easy work of the job.

After seeing a video of one of these being used I had to get one to add to the toolbox. After a few uses it’s still holding up great and does it’s job so well. This particular one is not big enough to do 3/4 ton and up trucks with aluminum shafts of the larger size steel driveshafts. It works great on the smaller trucks and on SUV’s. I’d recommend getting this and the one size up to cover all the bases. A must have for all mechanics who do U-Joints. Great product, absolutely worth it and would recommend.

This tool worked great! I specifically bought it to remove ujoint close to IFS front differential under a 1989 F250 HD dana 44. I like using a bit of heat on old yokes & ujoints thhat been rusting together for 30 plus years rather damaging my tools. Photo is of using tiger tool to remove caps in my vice. I tried taking a video yet couldn’t hold the camera and use torch and impact gun at same time. I highly recommend the tiger tool brand.

To small for my pickup I thought it was for pickups to but it must be for cars only 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ It’s a good quality tool if only it was a little bit bigger

Ease of use. I did 3 u-joints on my one tonne. Didn't have to pull the hanger bearing, did it underneath the truck with no hesitation. Beats the hell out of pulling the drive shaft and doing them on a vice. Saved a lot of time.
