The C2 is a well-respected and consistently recommended grinder in the less-than $100 price range, and this C2S model is the best version of that grinder. Everything on this grinder is metal, from the handle (not just the arm, the handle you hold when grinding is solid metal) to the entire body and everything in it. It has two bearings on the shaft, which makes it extremely balanced and without any slop or wiggliness in the turning action. The finish on the body reminds me of high-quality camera equipment. Very nicely done.The body is weighty and very solid metal, and the bottom cup has been improved with a rubber bottom and very nice threading with a collar to make re-threading the cup dead-easy. Same burr as any other C2 model, which I prefer for its speed, which is among the faster hand grinders out there. Highly recommended and would make a very impressive gift for a coffee lover. You can find all the specifics on its performance and grind quality on youtube or anywhere else coffee gear is reviewed, but you can't go wrong with this model at this price. It's about ten bucks more than the base C2 (which has plastic parts).

I recently got myself a small 3 cup moka pot for making espresso, and I was told I really needed to invest in a grinder. I had bought Lily's pre-ground espresso initially, and it was fine, but there is a noticeable difference between that and fresh ground. I like how easy it is to choose a grind size and it takes about a min to grind 13g for my pot. In combo with an aeropress filter it's pretty close to perfect. I have found that I need to let it sit for a while to reduce the static of the grind. I usually try to grind it before I head out to take my dog for a walk, and by the time we're back and ready to make coffee it's perfect. Highly recommend, very high build quality and grind consistency.

I bought this as an occasional backup grinder after an extended power outtage without my electric grinder left me drinking instant coffee for two weeks. BUT, this Chestnut hand grinder has become my go-to everyday grinder instead. Highly recommend!1. It feels well-made. Heavy metal and smooth handle action. Even the bottom cup screws into the main body nicely.2. The grind is even, easily-adjustable, and my coffee flavor is noticeably improved over my electric grinder.3. Grinding is quick and easy. A full pot of coffee for us is two grinds of beans in the Chestnut, and I can make it happen as quickly as filling my electric grinder and putting it through its cycle.4. No worries about power. Now I'm a coffee prepper, and this grinder will definitely come with me for any camping trip or road trip. Packs up small.

Setting the grind size is frustrating but otherwise well built and does a good job. I appreciate that the base that collects the ground coffee is exactly 100 g so can be used to measure out the right amount of beans without having to tear the scale. You can grind enough beans for a cup of coffee in less than a minute and it’s got much higher quality blades than an electric grinder at the same price and doesn’t make annoying noise for my roommates on mornings when I get up early. It feels like a very well built item and looks and feels nice to operate.Really the only downside to this is the annoying design for how to set the grind size. I typically just use one grind setting for a bag of beans so it’s only an occasional annoyance to get it dialed in, if you want to change it often maybe consider buying something else but if you’re like me and don’t and are able to find this on sale during prime day like I did, it’s absolutely worth it at that price.

This is the perfect grinder to get into coffee as a long term hobby. It is well built, extremely enjoyable to use, and if you plan on drinking anything except espresso it gets the job done great. I use an Aeropress almost everyday and I switch which beans I'm using month to month, and it has done a great job for the past 2 months so far. A lot of people online recommend buying a $100+ grinder, but I think this one will last a long time and do as much as I plan on doing for the foreseeable future.If you're getting into drinking coffee as a hobby or want to get a good quality gift for a coffee drinker who wants to start using beans, I highly recommend this coffee grinder!

While I am not stupid, it took me a while to understand how to adjust the grinder setting. In my opinion, the instructions are not clear. After figuring it out, I am extremely pleased with how it works. Yes, the threads are super fine on the cup that catches the grounds, you simply need to be conscious of that and respect it. A video an older woman posted helped tremendously. I had my doubts about pour over coffee. After purchasing everything I needed, it produces a fantastic cup of coffee!! Yes it takes effort and it is time consuming and can be messy, but the quality of coffee is amazing! I searched Google for how many grams of coffee beans to use for a 13 ounce cup of coffee and it recommend around 26 grams. For me, that is insane. I use 13 grams and I am pleased with the strength of the coffee and flavor. By the way, it doesn't hurt to have a quality kitchen scale!! I use a paper filter in my pour over device mostly for ease of cleaning.The grinder is extremely well made and heavy duty. They engineered the handle perfectly. It operates easily and smoothly. You definitely know when you have finished grinding all of your coffee beans!!! I very highly recommend this product.Friday the 13th 2024. September.

Es un excelente precio para un molino de esta calidad y categorÃa, estoy muy contento con mi compra.La primera vez que lo usé entendà que mis molinos anteriores son funcionales y prácticos, sin duda aún los voy a conservar, pero este permite más control en el molido del café y una velocidad excepcional en molidos medios.La calidad de los materiales y acabados, son excelentes y se siente muy bien al agarre en la mano, además incluye una bolsa para almacenar y una brochita para limpieza muy conveniente.Si te interesa mejorar de un molino sencillo para tener más control y velocidad o vaz a jubilar por uso un molino anterior, este es un producto que debes considerar al evaluar tus opciones.De primera impresión, me pareció caro, sinceramente, pero una vez que lo comencé a usar, entendà el porque de la diferencia en precio.Espero que mi opinión sea de ayuda.
