This timing light is very inexpensive and it is obviously built cheap to sell cheap. Having said that, it does actually work VERY well! I checked it's accuracy against an expensive timing light designed for daily use by a mechanic and it's advance dial is right on the money with the more expensive one. The expensive timing light has a brighter flash, but this one is bright enough to get the job done. For as often as I will need to use it (seldom), this timing light will do what I need it to do. It is an excellent buy for the money. FYI, the dial type advance adjustment is easier to use than the digital type advance adjustment featured on some of the much more expensive timing lights, don't waste your money on the digital type.

I thought I was done with setting the timing when I received the first inductive timing light. However it would not work to save my life. I reported this to Amazon, who in turn told the supplier who EMailed me with some practical suggestions. I tried them all twice but still no "WORK". Before I sent the light back behold another was shipped, "FAST!!!". It worked the first time! All timing set the truck ran better and we sent the defective part back. I will just say this about the product: "IF YOU WANT SERVICE WITH THE SALE YOU CAN TRUST AMAZON AND THEIR CHOICE OF PRODUCT SUPPLIER TO SATISFY!"

I've used it several times so far and it has been very accurate. Its getting harder to find the dial type timing light. I would recommend this type and not the digital. Its proven itself so far and I'm sure it will keep working well for the amount I use it.

unit seems to work good, compared with another light, was +/- 2 deg. light could be a little brighter. but for the price..... o.k.

Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this Chinese crap. It worked for one minute before the light acted up and then quit. The extra inductive pickup and leads that came with it didn’t fix it. I even took it apart and tried to bypass the switch and fix it, and check for cold solder joints, nothing. The light is just trash. Buy a good quality used one and save your money.
