It does what it's supposed to but it's a Lil on the messy side. It's not mess free like how radio shack tip tinner was. It's like kitty litter almost.

This soldering iron tip cleaner/tinner works quite well, just as good as some brand name products I've used at the engineering lab at my work. Good product for the price.

I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to soldering and came across this product and wanted to give it a try.I used this in conjunction with a wet sponge and brass wool and found that doing that helped clean my soldering iron. I can't compare it to other products as this was the first tip cleaner product I used, but I am happy with it and hope it does extend the life of my soldering iron.

I use this between every 5-6 solders to clean the tip of my Hakko and it works perfectly. Great value, less than other options and works the same as the more expensive options. Highly recommend!
