This is the most simply yet best piece of wood I have purchased. I’ve been trying to read alot more but my hands tend to cramp holding a book open especially a thicker one, this little gadget makes life so much easier. It’s super light weight and comfortable, however I would definitely measure your thumb first, This is a size small but my fiancé couldn’t use it comfortably. Definitely recommend for all book readers!

I am giving this four stars as it does appear to be well made. The wood is smooth both inside and out with no feeling of splinters. The color is as described and also looks evenly stained. I am removing one star due to the fact that it does not fit even though I measured my thumb following their instructions. Be aware also, that if your fingers are on the shorter side that it is difficult to hold a book and have it lay correctly inside a book to keep it open. IF it fits and you have "regular length" thumbs etc. then I believe it would be useful and also make a good gift for someone. It came nicely boxed and would be a perfect size for something such as a Christmas stocking, Easter basket or accompanying a gift card to a book store for instance. Returning due to it not going to work for me even if correct size around my thumb.

I love this thing. I’ll NEVER read without it again. I don’t have to worry about my pages flipping, smudging the ink, or my thumb giving out on me again. i have no idea how i read SK’s IT or The Stand without it. it’s well made, light weight, and if you have a bookworm in your life you need look no further for the perfect gift. i bought a size mini, and it fits perfectly on my thumb without sliding around. i’m an adult woman and i have relatively short, fat fingers and after looking at the other reviews it looks like most other women also bought a mini. my dad tried it and it was way too small for him, so i suggest getting a larger size for adult men. i can’t even tell you how much i love this thing, i’ve been showing it off since I got it. it’s much nicer than i would have expected, and wood seems to grip the pages better than acrylic. if you read paper books at all, you need it for sure.

The piece itself is very nicely made. Soft edges and comfortable in the hand/around the thumb.However, I gave it three stars because, regardless of the book I’m holding (paperback, hard back, large or small) I find that the center point, which is under the thumb, never reaches the center crease between pages. The outer edges of the holder press against the pages, but it never really contours to the book as I’d like.The results in a very wide grip while holding my book, and it’s a bit precarious to manage. I feel like I’m fighting the holder more than it’s helping me.I like the finish of the product and the concept is great. I think it just needs a bit more engineering to make it work as intended.

This is just a lightweight little piece of wood and yet it makes such a difference when you're holding a paper back I haven't tried it with a hard back because most of mine are textbook size and they're going to lay on the table anyway, but I'm amazed at this helpful tool. I have very small hands so I assume that the small would fit my thumb cuz my knuckle is a little big It feels loose. I love it, so I ordered the mini I think that would probably fit me perfectly. But in the meantime I'm going to keep using this small size by just taking a small strip of felt and gluing it around the inside room to make it a bit snugger. This is one of those things that you look at and you say oh heck I could make that and then you look at the price and you think about your woodworking skills and you buy it.

I love this. I'm an avid book reader. Anyone that is knows the worst part of reading a book (besides endings that suck) is finger and thumb fatigue. It takes a bit to get used to having a book holder, but once you do, you will wonder how you ever got along without it. The wood is beautiful, sturdy and lightweight. I may need to buy a few backups because I'm notorious for losing bookmarks and I can see me having my head in the book and not remembering where I laid it when I got up. Rambling now, all to say I would highly recommend anyone to buy a couple of these book page holders. Oh, I wear small gloves, so I bought a size small and fits just loose enough to not irritate my skin. Perfect fit for me.
