I upgraded my camera and needed a new, inexpensive dummy adapter and this has worked perfectly. No more attempting to guess how much battery time I have left while filming indoors. Definitely a must buy for a content creator.

I could not be more pleased. The adapter runs cool (I had it active in my camera for over three hours and there was no discernible heating). What impressed me the most is the total length of the cable. Here are the measurements:From adapter (the part shaped like a battery) to the end of the first segment of cable measured 36 inches.The fixed cable from the transformer that connects to the above segment measures 48 inches.The figure 8 power end cord that connects the transformer to wall power measures another 48 inches. If you need something longer, you can purchase compatible cords here on Amazon for a reasonable price. I found that I did not need one.Another feature is that you can dispense with wall power and connect this to an external battery pack. The XTPower MP-10000 External Battery Pack with 10000mAh - dual USB 5V + DC 9V / 12V 2A (as one of many examples) will power my camera for hours (over six, in fact), using the 9V.I have been using this ACK-E18 daily since I purchased it and it has proven to be reliable. I am guessing that if it was going to fail, it would have done so by now.

I was about to return this DC coupler kit because it was not working on my T6i as I had thought. Problem was the battery door was open and needed to be closed to have the camera work with the couple kit and the dummy battery. However, after taking out a rubber pullout, I was able to close the battery door and the camera worked! DO NOT FORGET THE PULLOUT. This DC coupler works and works well!

Excelente al principio pense que no servia para mi camara pero luego descubrir por donde sacar el cable ya que con la tapa de la bateria abierta no funciona. Una gran ayuda para mis grabaciones de videos largos ya que mi camara suele a recanlentarse y se apaga, pero esta es una muy buena opcion

I am a Canon user and use them professionally. I know Canon can overprice accessories but I almost always stick with them due to their reliability. I was building a two-camera kit for video web productions and settled on two Canon RP mirrorless cameras. The Canon power supplies were never available anywhere and after a couple of months, I purchased these.They work just fine and have been reliable for the three months I have been using them. They are on for several hours each day. I will probably buy a spare and then stick with these and be money ahead.

I wrote this review before and gave it a bad review which was my mistake I had the battery in but the door was not closed So anybody reading this be sure to close the door or it will not work I have a Canon 77 and it works just great you may be fooled because it feels so light weight like a toy but it does the job!

I had no issues with this plug. I am using it for my Canon T7i, it uses a LP-E17 battery. I had no warnings or failures. I have been using it for about 5 months now and it allows me to leave my camera on and on a tripod all day powered on. The cord is more than long enough so finding an outlet is no problem when it is 5ft high on the tripod. It has a release plug about 2ft in the line from the camera so it comes apart if someone trips over it and your camera does not come crashing down. I can't believe it took me so long to make this purchase, I am glad I did. 5 Stars

Je fais des formations sur Zoom et j'avais besoin d'une pile rechargable pour ma caméra Canon car avec la pile rechargeable ,après 30 min seulement, je n'avais plus de charge. Avec le chargeur tout va maintenant super bien.

Se siente muy frágil el material, siento que con cualquier caÃda muere. Sin embargo me ha funcionado siempre, he hecho más de 25 en vivos en youtube, y no me ha dejado morir. Lo tengo desde hace 5, casi 6 meses.

Bought this is a rush to use to livestream a town hall meeting for work. Used a Canon Rebel T7i and it was super easy to use and worked perfectly.
