It powers my Canon DSLR camera with AC instead of the camera battery. The camera battery can be depleted with long exposures, so powering the camera with an external power source eliminates that problem. For me it would be better if it ran on 12 volts DC instead of house current, but I solved that problem with a small AC inverter. Works great, and the price is reasonable.

Works for my Canon EOS Rebel T6. Haven’t had it long or used it much at all. But it definitely works for me.

This Power cord is being used with a Canon T6 DSLR .It has been a great addition to my work flow.I would like to have seen this with a longer length to give me or flexibility when using my tripod its full height ... the cord seems to just barely make it to the floor in some casesThis unit stopped working after a short time .. we got a few uses out of it .. keep god care and still it failed ... had to switch to a different brand / type of power for my Camera

OK so i have no idea if it worked or not after buying it and it not working then returning it. I just noticed this camera has a flap for a the cable for the dummy battery to run through so i was never able to close the battery door.

It works. My use is a dedicated piece on a gantry for taking repeat shots from a fixed distance, so its light weight construction doesn't concern me, but for folks who regularly go mobile, probably want something better built. That said, it does the job for very little money.

This allows me to be able to have unlimited recording time with my camera due to the battery life of the camera batteries when filming is super short, but with this pug in battery I don't have to worry about my camera dying with out me knowing and wasting my time thinking I am recording when the camera died 20 mins ago.

I purchased this item In December 2023 as a backup and immediately put it away without first testing it to see that it worked properly. I opened it yesterday to use and it did not work at all. I'm very disappointed because it is too late for me to return it. In my future purchases, I'll just make sure I open it right away and test/view it's condition.

If you're looking for something to keep your camera on for a long time without constantly changing your battery, you'll need this. However, a lot of the time the cord is very thin and flimsy. If it turns or bends a certain way it will unplug from inside your camera....making you dismantle your entire set up and push the cord back in.It's only happened a few times but it does get annoying. Hopefully they can make one more studry in the future. Still a great option if you need it in the meantime.
