This push-button stepping attenuator is a device used to adjust the signal strength, it uses the way of pressing buttons to gradually adjust the amount of signal attenuation. quite the stout chunk of metal, they're not kidding about it weighing 400 grams (almost a pound). don't think you can just screw it on to another piece of rf gear - you'll break something. I'll be a lot less likely to misplace this brick than my collection of small, coaxial, attenuators.The sma connectors fit well with my other cables and adapters. one of the buttons (the last 20dB stage) was a little bit stiff but cycling it a few times smoothed it out some. I'm not sure what their endurance is long term.Initial testing between 250 and 500MHz indicated more or less the right amount of attenuation at each step, within 1 or 2dB. I didn't have the time to test every combination or measure the full spectrum but as a quick way to turn the volume knob down to -11 (thank you, Spinal Tap) this does about what I expect.Will update this review after some more rigorous testing.

Performs fine, very heavy.. (good for shielding, and like, will hold up 10 feet of RG68 lol) was damaged in shipping because of the weight, I am replacing through Amazon and ordering another two.
