I'm impressed with the quality and finish of this ratchet. I wouldn't use it for tasks that require robust torque, but for most jobs it is ideal. It's small size is helpful when space is tight, and the handle is just long enough to fill my hand. The ratchet action feels and sounds quite positive. This is the first ratchet I've used that requires the quick release button to be depressed to attach a socket, but that really isn't a problem. This will be my go-to ratchet for all except the most strenuous of jobs. It's low price makes the purchase worthwhile, even if you already own a quality 3/8" drive.

A 1/4" ratchet is great for many jobs, when if you're working on cars and need more power and bigger socket sizes, 1/2" is the way to go. I recently expanded my workshop so I picked this up to keep in the garage. It works great and I like the releasing mechanism -- so much simpler than wrestling with the older style. I've only used it a couple of times but is feels sturdy and solid.

This tool is nicely finisned in quality chrome plating. Wih 72 teeth inside, it will ratchet in only 5 degrees each way which makes it more useful for tight spots when you are working. Another feature is the quick-release button that releases the socket quickly and also locks the socket on when working.It's a quality tool at a reasonable price. I also ordered the 1/4" and 1/2" versions and It's highly recommended.

I used the 3/8 drive to remove my lugnuts. It did well until that one that wouldn't budge. Slowly and steadily applying pressure, the drive finally twisted off. So, these are good ratchets but not quite for the heavy duty jobs. Still a good purchase.

All of my ratchets were probably 30 years old and starting to give me problems so I ordered this set. It is a VERY nice ratchet set-they operate so much smoother than my old set and the molded "storage" box they come in makes a great place to keep them organized and handy in your tool box. If your ratchets have seen their better days keep them for spares and get this set.

I was always getting frustrated with my husband’s tools as they are such a jumbled mess I decided to buy myself some ratchets. I don’t do a lot of mechanical work but when I do I want to find what I need in a timely manner. These ratchets came in a nice little case to store them in and now sit on a shelf in the garage. I’m happy. So far they are working well.
