Comes in ready to use. I tested against my recently calibrated level.Quick and simple to operate.As with every other machine I have owned, I wish a quick grip receiver clamp was offered.

I use it for grading and excavating and it works great for me. The manual one-axis grade feature is sufficient for my use so I don't need to spend a ton of money for auto grading lasers. Has a long range, works well in bright sunlight, and the detector has a built-in bubble level. The only feature I would have liked them to include would be a bubble level on the laser itself to help with leveling up the tripod.

I absolutely love this laser. Long range, accurate, easy to use. Like all lasers it is very delicate. One drop outside of the case on hard ground and it’s game over. However the case is good too, it’s strong enough to stand on and plenty of storage inside for accessories and batteries. However I wish the case had a slot build into it to store the paperwork for the laser. However you get what you pay for, is unit is worth the money.

It’s easy to use and pretty accurate. I do a lot of dirt and concrete work so I needed something that’s consistent and this laser has done the job as advertised. The range seems to be as stated in the description. For the price I would recommend it for sure. I didn’t receive the field book that’s supposed to come with it but not that big of a deal but gave 4 stars just because I don’t like liars.

This rotating laser level is optimized toward the construction task of outdoor site preparation, concrete work, etc. it has a long range when used with it's included detector and can be set to project it's laser at a slope to help with creating sloped road beds, concrete forms, etc. You will need a few things in addition to this laser to get started. You will need a tripod with a 5/8-inch x 11 threaded mounting bolt (not the 1/4 inch used for camera equipment), a grade rod to mount the laser detector, 4 D cell batteries and 2 AA batteries.

I like this laser. Replaced my old one after getting funky readings and lost confidence in it. I’m a builder and use it for grading, foundations and batter boards. Topcon is an established good name. This one is simple with no bells and whistles. Checked accuracy out of the box at 150’ and it was spot on. Plenty good for my work. As long as my guys take care of it, it should outlast me. Would def buy again and recommend for any layout work.

I took very good care of this laser but all of the sudden the red light in it burned out. I won’t suggest buying this laser! Waste of money.
