Smart Chip
- The “auto-close” function ultimately secures the property after you leave.
- Our unique feature “midway mode” allows the gate to open only a few feet for the coming vehicles.
- Stops in case of obstruction during gate opening, and reverses in case of obstruction during gate closing. Adjust the stall force to get your desired open / close obstruction sensitivity. Higher stall force level, lower obstruction sensitivity.
- Soft start and soft stop ensure a long-lasting performance.
- The above modules can be adjusted on the smart control panel directly.
Simple Setting

Note about the Chain
- The roller chain has gone through strict process for high quality, allowing for the optimum toughness of all component parts, as well as increasing metal fatigue resistance and pre-lubricated for wear resistance.
- The package includes 20ft. roller chain. The length of the chain is adjustable.
- The specification of the chain is #428 (08B). Extra TOPENS 20 Feet Roller Chain is available online.
- Keep the chain from any debris to ensure the smooth operation of the motor. Oil the chain periodically for ultimate performance.

I really like this item. The install was easy and the motor works great. The only thing I wish is that this should work a bit faster.

I installed this on a Cantilever Gate. The install was straight forward. I first poured a concrete pad with J-bolts to mount the opener. While the concrete was curing, I set up the solar, batteries and wired it all together in the drive and tested the unit. It worked great. Then installed everything at the Gate. The Chain had to be cut down and the kit did not come with a chain shortening tool and I end up using a angle grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the chain rivets. Once the chain was at the correct length, it was an easy set up. First operational check at the gate, the gate closed about 3/4 closed and stopped. Reading the instructions, I made an adjustment to the closing and opening force. After the adjustment, the gate has been opening and closing as it should. So far I am very happy with this TOPENS slide gate opener. I need to purchase additional remote openers or a remote code opener now.

Set up and installation were easy especially with the video they provide shows you literally how to completely set it up from start to finish. Even the manual is very detailed. Had problems with how i installed the magnet on the gate and the motor limiter wouldn't read the magnet, i emailed tech support ( which always responded under 24hours when i had questions ) and told them what was going on and without me sending any videos or pictures they responded with simple things that could be wrong and they were right i had to add washers to the bracket so the magnet would pass by closer to the motor and that worked after a full cycle it was opening and closing as it should. Overall the motor is WELL BUILT NOT CHEAP at all. Was recommended this motor to replace a really expensive one that broke down and this one at 1/5 of the price id say works just as good only time will tell will update if anything goes wrong with it so far so good was very skeptical will also update with pictures

Instructions were very clear. Installation was a breeze. all necessary parts came in the package. I have it connected to solar only so no ac supply necessary and it is working flawlessly. One tip, remember to keep chain lubricated. I am about to purchase my 2nd one because the first one worked so well.

2024 Update: Many repairs for the same issue. Topens sent a whole new unit and now it's doing the same random opening/closing the first opener did. This thing is utter junk. Save yourself all the pointless repair costs and buy anything but this unit!Update: This opener worked for less than 6 months. Then it slowed down significantly. I mean it started taking close to a minute to roll 16 feet. Then it quit opening altogether. Then, if it's closed, it started randomly opening a few feet. If it's open it randomly closes part way then reopens. The only way to stop all this from happening is to leave the unit unlocked which defeats all the reasons I needed a gate and opener. So, I have to lock the gate with a padlock and scowl at the opener every time I have to get in and out of my car multiple times to unlock, open, pull through, close, and relock the gate.It took me forever to find anyone who would attempt to repair it. I kept getting told they don't work on this brand. The repair guy I finally found has been working on it for weeks, following all of Topens recommendations, and nothing is fixing the problem.Really hoping they make this right!Original: Highly recommended. So glad I found this unit! Looked at some that were twice the price and I just couldn't work that into the budget. This is exactly what I had in mind for the right price. This sliding opener is perfect for my 16 ft chain link gate. Easy installation. Opens and closes fairly fast. Responds to the remotes from a good distance. Customer service is quick to respond (email response within 2 hours), very friendly and helpful. The board quit working and they had a replacement in my hand within 2 days, complete with easy to follow instructions.
