I recently purchased the TOPENS PW502, Dual Arm Swing Gate Opener, ET24 Gate Lock, and TC196 Tuya wifi remote controls. I was able to install it with the thorough instructions provided in the kit. Upon completion of the install, I recognized a problem with a swing arm. I emailed customer service and Lori quickly responded to provide assistance to diagnose the problem. They immediately shipped me a new limit switch and complete instructions on it's installation. Customer service provided valuable support until the gate worked perfectly. I believe CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS THEIR TOP PRIORITY!

The good:This product is working...sort of and for now. It opens and closes my double gate and generally does what it says. Its the cheapest gate opener available, but still pretty expensive. Also, the customer service is pretty responsive and friendly (you'll need it). Metal brackets seem pretty good, and the remotes are pretty nice. The bad:This is my first gate opener so its hard to know if they are all this bad or just this one, but It feels cheap. Instructions aren't clear (but I figured it out). Power supply is underpowered and appears to have issues from time to time. One of the motors release mechanism came pre-broken (it won't unlock). The connections to the gate opener on each side are plastic and they look like they might break (we'll see how long they last). The NEMA control box curiously only has 3 ports on the bottom, so you have to drill a hole if you want to add an electric lock. The biggest issue for me right now is the power supply. It just barely supplies enough power and for time to time, it seems to stop outputting voltage until I unplug it and reset it. Also, it came with a broken wire somewhere (I had to remove the extension and wire the power supply directly into the control box). When the gate closes, if it starts and stops and builds a little momentum, that will overload the motor and the whole thing will stop...again I think this is the crappy power supply. Also, the 2nd motor for the far gate only has about a 5' cable coming off it. Not sure how they expect you to run that cable over to the control box. You'll have to buy 5-conductor cable to run to the other side. Thats a pain.Despite these problems, you'll invest a good amount of time installing everything so you will keep working with it and you want it to work. It does work now, and the advice I got from customer support was to set the delay of the two gates opening to try not to overload the power supply. I'm gonna probably switch it to batteries and I bet that takes care of some of the weirdness. Its hard to know how many stars to give it because you know its not gonna be the highest quality because its the cheapest gate opener you can buy, but on the other hand, its not super cheap either.Update 12/2019:After having this opener for a while, I’ve switched to two 12v batteries and all the problems I have described earlier has gone away and it works pretty well. I don’t use it much but it’s worked every time and it’s still holding up.

Topens PW502 Dual Gate opener was installed on two custom made 9ft x 8ft metal gates. Install was relatively easy. Jessica was very responsive and helpful with answering questions and working through some problems with programming the remotes. Remotes work from surprisingly long distance of 200 ft.Overall good product and support.

The PW 502 kit came complete with parts for different gate styles, all parts are good quality, the assembly manual is clear and customer service is excellent. The gates have opened reliably going on three years.

Overall I would rate as good to very good. Hoping for many more years of service.Product works as described for past 2 years in all 4 seasons (Canadian climate). Installation would be moderately challenging for a novice ( I have several multidisciplinary trade certificates) but customer service was excellent although communication was delayed due to time zone and distance. Circuit board design lacks robust key component and required replacement otherwise would have qualified for a 5 star review.Would not recommend optional gate lock. It will collect moisture and freeze up component movement and will not function, zero stars.

These gate openers have worked perfectly since I've installed then about a year and a half ago. They run on an old car battery and a small solar panel from Home Hardware, and even in the short and cold days in winter here in Alberta, they work flawlessly. The gates are 10 feet each, and we probably open them around 5 to 10 times a day. Wind, or cold have never been a problem. I have also installed a keypad, and we use several key fobs, all work fine. If you've never worked on electrical equipment, you should get some help installing these, this is not a beginner project.

These openers work 50% of the time!I have adjusted these things at least 8 times in the last 5 weeks, get them working perfect then few days later only open half way or close with a 3-4†gap. Extremely frustrating. Also had to buy an add on for the gate latch (also works 50% of the time) and a remote adapter for connecting to any normal vehicle.Installation is not that hard but you do need some basic construction experience.Overall experience, frustration even if you get them on sale!
