Pretty much the perfect work carry. I got it in the all black color and it's subdued and looks sleek. The black Topo logo minimizes the in-your-face external branding and is appreciated. Made some modifications by replacing the paracord zipper pulls with regular black zipper pulls to make it look more professional and streamlined. I'm not convinced of the utility of the bottom 2 straps and while I'm inclined to cut them off, in the meantime I got velcro strap keepers and tucked them into the back sleeve so they aren't hanging loose. Love how the laptop compartment is a separate from the main compartment (I don't think the Tom Binh pilot has that). The nylon around the front pockets sometimes catches on the zippers and I'm left wanting those zippers to fully go around but I think they did that so when in backpack position, this prevent things from falling out. Most work bags/briefs are best for accommodating thinner things like folders, laptop, documents, etc but this main pocket has some nice width so you can put lunch bag or wider items with no problem. The briefcase handle is beefy and cushioned and well located. . . . it stays out of the way of the zippers and doesn't flop out of position. And a single handle is way better than having to deal with a double handle. 2 things that would make it great would be a main pocket interior organization / zippered pocket and something on the bottom that helps to ensure it stands up on its own more reliably. Lastly, this is for sure bigger, more capacious, more professional looking, and more practical for work than the mountain cross body bag despite the measurements listed. After searching around for many work bags (chrome midtown messenger, tom binh pilot, eberlestock executive brief, topo cross mountain, Tumi, even Louis Vuitton options) I landed on this and am extremely happy with its layout and function.

I had it now for several weeks and totally love it! I love that you can use it as backpack, satchel and hand carry. It is small enough that it could be your “purse†or persoanal carry for airline flying. I love, love the fact that you can store the backpack straps away so it doesn’t get in the way, get dirty on the floors and give the “neat and tidy†look, not to mention hygenic The zippers look very durable! I’ve carried a 15 inch dell laptop, some hand tools, various cords, keys, small thermos. Now it doesn’t have a pocket for water bottles so that will have to go inside the main pouch. I don’t like the rather conspicuous logo so I bought a black one and it is not as noticeable. This is a winner! I highly recommend it!

This is a solidly made laptop briefcase kind of situation with enough room for a change of clothes and lunch and some backpack straps. It holds 16" laptops and all your other work stuff and doesn't feel overpacked. I really have no complains about the comfort of the briefcase handle or backpack straps when using it that way and it seems decently weather resistant for a typical day in and out of cars and buses. I wouldn't want to test it in a storm but it's also light and easy to grab and I have more heavy duty stuff for serious weather. It's not a high security weatherproof case, it's just an easy grab and go bag for work and it does that perfectly.The way the packpack straps stow is a little annoying to use so I end up not stowing them away but just tightening them; it would be nice if there was just a simple velcro strap to hold them against the briefcase instead of the elaborate storage method and that would probably have saved some material. I might just add that myself to be honest, because otherwise this is a very nice option for a carryon or work bag.

I bought this bag because it was very close to the maximum dimensions allowed by Croatian Airlines for a personal item. The constraint is 40 x 30 x 10 cm, which I translated to 16 x 12 x 4 inches. This bag is a little bit too wide (5 inches instead of the allowed 4) if you completely fill the two pockets on the side. I don't intend to do that, so it will hopefully pass muster.The bag is well made and the top zips. It has straps and a handle and hence can be used in backpack or briefcase mode.

Most of the time I'm using it as a light laptop bag, so I use it as a messenger. That way I have quick access to the pockets, where I sometimes keep a light street photography camera a well. Also my earbuds start there.There is a whole larger middle section that I can open up if I want to carry more stuff, for example if I'm traveling. Then I can quickly change it to a backpack.Looks good and it's practical.

This small bag attaches to a topos global travel roller and increases storage capacity significantly. It can be easily detached and used as a back pack and fits nicely beneath an airplane seat.

Bought to match the suitcase. Works well as a flight bag, but overpriced for what it is, even compared to the brand’s other bags. Suggestion to the manufacturer- put mesh pockets on the insides of the zipper side of the outer pockets to increase versatility.
