Easy to remove, Easy to wash, Easy to install. This product arrived on time. The durability seems like a solid aluminum. It is solid enough to not break but flexible enough to maneuver into the A/C opening. I had no problem with the installation, however, there has been a few concerns about the side you install. After, contacting a representative from the company, it was stated, the mesh filter is dual sided, so you can install filter on either side, and it will function accordingly. For me, I installed the filter on the side with all the wording, after torn open the plastic. Also, after doing a tissue test, I flipped the filter to the other opposite side, and I still received positive suction. I felt an immediate difference upon the air which were dispensed through the vents, stronger air flow (seen the curtains moving) and colder. I purchased a second filter to install while the other filter dried. If you have an air gun, a shop vacuum with a dual purpose (blowing and suction), or a portable battery-operated leaf sweeper, all tools which you can use to blow off the excess water. Unfortunate, for me I don't have any of these tools, therefore, I had to purchase a second filter. I don't recommend shaking the filter with force because the product can break apart. An alternative is pat dry the filter and allow to dry on a tilt, therefore, all of the water goes to one area and seeps out. I really like this product and was a bit skeptical at first, but it changed my perspective.

I should have bought this in the first place! (I knew this years ago, but forgot all about it. Stupid me!)Filter manufacturers tout how well they purify the air in your home, but that's not what an HVAC filter is for. The purpose of all Furnace/AC (HVAC) filters is to prevent your system from clogging with dust. I knew this, yet was using high-priced 3M Filtrete filters for my allergies. Wrong!You actually want nothing higher than MERV 8 rated filters. They remove common dust, hair and pollen, which can clog your system and reduce its lifespan. Using filters with higher ratings wastes money because they're over $10 each, and have to be replaced regularly. Instead, this filter will save the most in the long run, and pay for itself quickly. When it gets a bit clogged, it's easily washed clean, to use again and again.The 3M Filtrete filters I had been using, (MERV 11) were blocking so much air that condensation was forming on the cooling coils during the summer months, then draining outside. The result was a significant drop in humidity, to well below 40%, which is unhealthy. Now the humidity remains between 40-50%, which is perfect. Not only that, but because of the increased airflow, the far bedroom in my home now gets cooled (and heated) as it should. The MERV 11 filters were restricting airflow so much that not enough air reached that room to keep the temperature comfortable.DON'T BE FOOLED BY PAPER FILTER ADVERTISING! If you need your air filtered more than MERV 8 provides, it's better to use stand-alone air purifiers, with their own fans, made specifically for that purpose. They will filter your air 24/7, unlike your HVAC, which filters only when it cycles on.This filter worked so well, I decided to buy another. That way I can swap them, and not have to quickly wash and dry the dirty one.This filter will save you serious money. No longer will you need to constantly replace paper filters, but you'll save on your electric bills as well. (Also saving on your gas bills, or whatever heats your home.) I noticed a drop in my electricity usage even when it got hotter in August than in July. WOW! That means I had been wasting money away for no reason. UGH!Don't make my mistake. Either use one of these, or at least stop using paper filters with a rating higher than MERV 8.

My Kuuma indoor wood furnace uses 2 filters. When they're soiled I break them down to fit in my trash bag, but I hate throwing them out for landfill. These Torjims arrived promptly, they seem very sturdy, they fit nicely in the blower bay. I saw a complaint that they're 23 1/2 inches instead of 24 inches, but they're identical in size to the disposables. The furnace calls for Merv 5 filters but those quickly collect dust and lint and cat hair, I think these reusable Merv 8 filters will obstruct less, as I'll clean them instead of waiting until they're heavily soiled to discard.

Filters are expensive. These are lightweight. They come in all sizes. Rinse and boom new filter they pay for themselves in no time at all.

I could not put it on all vents because it is think and does not allow full air flow. I have an older house with small vents but even the larger one was pretty restrictive. But it does work.

Well I waited too late to open up the package to put it in to give it a good try. So now I'm missing my return window. I can't really tell if this item. Dawn, anything different than my other filters? The house is still Dusty and it wasn't that dirty when I washed it. But my paper filters are usually really dirty. It doesn't fit properly. Supposed to be a 14x20. It's smaller than a 14x20 because all it's doing is knocking around in there. Every time I unit comes on my dogs are barking at it cuz it's constantly banging. When I tried to install it. I have to hold it in there and shut the the lid real quick because it is too small. Very disappointed

Was hesitant to purchase as we have only used the one time use filters. Great value, simple to clean and traps all dust. Our house has minimal dust now. BETTER than one time use filters.

Replacement for broken reusable filter that uses a frame and zip on cover.Out of the box it seems much better quality over the frame/zip on filter I have.Will update after 90 days and the first
